Good radio performance
Sound and turner sensitivity is good, excellent with headphones. Battery use only, although any 6v ac adapter would work. Alarms are difficult to set and cancel, the radio is also tippy, meaning as an alarm clock, it is unsatisfactory for me.However, as a portable radio it is quite satisfactory. Although there is no tone control, the sound is balanced, sounding neither tinny or muffled, and plays reasonably loud, considering it's size. Listening to FM stereo, there was good channel separation and frequency response with my Koss PRO4 AAT's. For you DXers, there is an both an adjustable band pass and a mono switch to pull in weak channels,Paid $44, it's a good portable radio. I bought a $7 alarm clock so I won't damage the radio while waking up.

Great little radio
This radio has great sound and reception, especially considering how small it is. It's very lightweight and easy to take outside on the deck, on picnics, etc. After two years, this little radio has retained its sound and reception. We've even left it outside in the rain and afterwards, it still worked just as well. One would never know that this radio was a refurbished product.

Preset station numbers
My only dislike is the preset station numbers are difficult to read. They should be a different color.

Great little radio.
Just got the radio a couple of days ago. Refurbished model works great. Excellent sound and reception. Nice, small size. No idea yet about battery life, but so far, so good.

Digital Tuning these days is a must!
Got tired of fine tuning radio dials now digital tuning is the only way to go and this radio does that for tuning and with 20 presets (10 FM + 10 AM). I bought the AC adapter to save the power drain on the batteries and to use daily. The AC adapter also has a noise /interference reducer loop on the cord as a plus. Batteries are for on the move, or power outage and they keep the presets and clock going if no AC. The long FM antenna helps with reception. Easy to set up. I don't need a boom box I just need a radio.
