The buckles are well made. They are satisfyingly rigid, very pleasingly smooth where they should be (no seams to catch the skin), and the action in use is definite but not heavy. I am being cautious about the sturdiness and durability; it's a bit early to say.I was replacing a rucksack's belt-buckle, so the webbing straps were already doubled over and sewn down. The outer slots in the buckle (towards the fastening) are fairly narrow. One strap was thick enough at the end to be difficult to feed through the slot. The outer corners of the slots are strongly rounded, so the extreme width of the slot at the outer edge is not 38mm + clearance but 38mm less a bit. The other strap slightly thicker, fouled on the rounded corner and was very difficult indeed to feed through.

Use it with tape to make your own things that buckle up. Good value, well packaged, well delivered.

Great for the job of making dog collars

Used this to repair a broken buckle on my rucksack. Does a good job but rated 3* as you only get one tri-slide grip per buckle rather than one per strap so you may need to get another tri-slide grip if you want both straps neatly fastened. It’s not as pictured which shows a set of two per buckle.
