I rarely write reviews unless it’s something really awesome or really awful. This is an awesome review!! The product itself is much much better than anything out there even remotely the same price. It’s got such a high range of lighting, so many different shades. I’ve had it for nearly 3 months and when my friends came over to film an audition they comment on how awesome this ring light was. Here’s the best part of this company, about a week ago I plugged it in and something shorted. Until then I had no problems. I wrote Company and told them my situation. Right away I got an email back from Zoey and long story short, I was shipped another one within a couple of days. As I said, the product itself is much better than anything I’ve used so far. I do think what happened to mine was a fluke, these are made well and it felt like a solid quality ring. When there was a problem with the product, it was addressed and taken care of promptly. Thank you again Zoey!! I would highly recommend this ring to anyone, especially people filming auditions, it’s really a great product. Even better is what a solid and reliable company Emart is!! Couldn’t be any happier!!

Overall: I wouldn’t recommend simply because my phone mount piece broke within a few months. So I am no longer able to use it for the purpose I intended. Had to purchase another light with a screw feature instead. I expected more from a $100 light. :\Pros: Light is bright and reliable. It is fairly sturdy. I currently use it whenever I am doing someone’s hair for better lighting. Can still be used for selfies just without a mount (mine broke).Cons: phone mount isn’t actually wide enough to easily fit my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It can fit but barely, I mean there is no extra room and my phone may be too heavy. It also doesn’t stay tightened well so the phone easily tilts from side to side instead of staying level. The mechanism that holds the phone holder broke after a couple of months anyway so I don’t even put my phone on it to use for pictures anymore. I tried duct taping it, supergluing, and hot gluing and nothing worked. So it is just used as a light now.

Pro Shopping Tip: this light goes on sale for less than $50 on occasion which makes it a no brainer for those on a budget as it puts this light up against 10-12” ring lights at a similar price. I got mine thru Amazon Warehouse Deals for $44!Review: 18” is a great size for creating soft light in a variety of situations. The light output is really nice and I love the controls and display for color temp and power.The build quality isn’t the best but I wouldn’t expect it to be at this price. It does the job and I love they fact that it comes with a carry bag for the light and included accessories.

I bought this when it was on sale last week. It's good for the price. But I wouldn't pay more than $60 bucks. The build is pretty cheap. Its very light and it feels kind of delicate. The stand is nice. more than this light needs. It's decent. I wouldn't put a regular or expensive light on it tho. The remote is garbage and really slow. It works, but it takes a lot of effort. You can't just hold the button down because it loses its connection often, so its a button-masher. Also, it's really really slow. it goes up and down in increments of one. And since it goes from 10 -100. It takes a really long time to use. it moves about 2-3 numbers a second. So if you're starting at 10 and want to go to 100. Better be sitting in a comfy chair. it's easier to just turn the knob on the light. It's fine, you can't expect much. What bothers me the most is the fluctuating color temps. This happens when you turn the knob on the light itself. It doesn't do it when using the remote. Seems that there might be a loose connection or just a very fragile one. When you turn it slow and steady, it's more or less fine, but when you turn it quickly or thoughtlessly, you will see the color change in an inconsistent way. sometimes its too blue, sometimes too green, and sometimes it's even too purple! It's weird. I'm still on the fence about keeping it.UPDATE: Not two months and this thing has stopped working!!! I should have returned it when I had a chance. Now I'm out $70 bucks. I'm getting sick of all this garbage Amazon sells. I might as well just take my chances on eBay! UGH!!! I see that the price of this thing has gone up to $105. Please for the love of all that is good, skip this and get something with a warranty and good customer service!
