Good lights, bad power supply design
The lights themselves are great - durable, bright, lots of different colors and patterns to choose from. The problem is the power supply - it's a giant wall wart-style brick, which is clearly labeled to indicate that it must be placed inside a weatherproof outlet cover that can be closed when in use. The problem is, I can't find a cover in which it fits, because the brick itself is too long, and the cable connection is directly at the brick with no flexibility. Pics are attached of two different boxes, and I also tried a third but didn't get pictures. The three I tried are all the standard designs found in hardware stores. In one box, the connection lines up with the opening, but the lid can't be closed. In the other, the connection prevents the brick from even reaching the outlet. For the third box I tried, it could reach the outlet, but not close the cover.A secondary problem is that the weatherproof connections used between the power supply, WiFi adapter, and light strings don't match any similar parts, so I can't swap in a different power supply, or extend the unlit section. On all the other versions of these connections I can find, the pins are recessed inside a male-threaded barrel, with a captive nut on the female side. On the power supply side, the pins protrude and the male threads are on the female side. On the Light side, the pins are recessed like normal, but the male part spins into a fixed female nut.

Started off great! But failed quickly.
Lights do not connect to phone easily. Lights do not match after it rains. After one year they would not connect to wifi and remain one color.

Heavy duty lights - kind of work! Update #3
I have not hung them up yet... but I did plug them in and configured them. I bought two sets, so I simply removed one of the power bricks from a strand and connected it together. The wi-fi configuration is a bit wonky - so something similar with the same application for LED lights around my LED tv.Once connected, worked as advertised. I have not completed the Alexa setup, so that will come soon. A few notes it can pulse to sound heard through the microphone on your phone running the app - not on the light strep itself. The app does have a music mode - you can select the type of music. Once you try to get to music, it brings up Apple music - and does not give you a chance to change the program. As I have Amazon music, this is a disappointment. It would be "cool" if the power brick had a built-in microphone, which would remove the need for some of the application inter-dependence.I am pleased with the lights and am looking forward to hanging them up.** Update #3 **Lights are up - they are very cool!! One thing I have noticed though is that a lot of times (but not quite 100%) red and green are swapped! I am trying to create a pattern for U.S. Independence Day (Red, White, Blue)... seems to be a somewhat common issue with the app or lights (from a Goggle search). One fix suggested was using a remote control - which this does not come with. I have a different set of LED lights for backlighting our home theater - so may try that.Swapping out the plug and controller did not fix the problem. I am thinking it is a software problem as I can set the lights to RED by entering the RGB value for Green. Unfortunately, you cannot do this for the "custom routines"... you can set the value to RED or GREEN - but trust me, there will only be green. Would be handy if this screen allowed you to enter the RGB value for this lights like the single color does. Bumped the review down to 1-star - as it is difficult to be USA Patriotic without the color RED!Update #3 - finally heard from the company (Magic Home) that make the software... and to fix the "RED" problem was actually pretty simple - to fix, in the app, long press on the device name, then select Change LED Strip Type. Mine was set to GBR for (RGB sort)... just set it to RGB. I have no idea what the IC type is... might control the types or number of lights but I did not have to update mine. I did fix the configuration on 7/3, just in time!

Not all I had hoped for
Although they were difficult to set up through my phone (for me anyway), they work great now. A little bummed that you can’t do different colors at once (green, yellow, green, yellow), you have to do all green and then they turn yellow. I also like that you can create themes, they save, but they don’t tuen on to your personalized theme, you have to go on your phone and change it everyday. Who remembers to do that? They are very sturdy lights and seem like they’ll last for years to come.

So Versatile
The lights are great so far. Installed them around the perimeter of my back deck roof, so pretty much out of the direct weather. 300 presets in the app, which is a lot, but it's fun to scroll through. Fun color-matching and programming. There is a learning curve on the programming which I haven't cracked yet, but I'm sure I'll figure it out with practice. Overall awesome product!

one string would not connect to network and other came missing bulb
I bought two strings. I opened package one and found a bulb missing. So I pinched a bulb from the second string to start set up and test out. Well after dozens of attempts and working through the trouble shooting (with broken english and poor instruction), even rearranging home network access points.....no luck. The app and included instructions both were not helpful. Disappointed. returning and going for a basic reliable single color set.

Great lights.
I bought these in the spring and used them at the campground until late fall. Put them up on the house and using them for Halloween then fall colors and now Christmas. They have Been outside in weather the whole time and no problems. I love these lights and people comment on them all the time. The only thing I was disappointed with was that they did not come with a spare bulb like advertised.

Bad!
Started out great, then slowly started not working. I called the supplier and they stated I'd have to call the manufacturer. So I call the manufacturer and they state they don't sell on Amazon and the 1 year warranty is not thru them. So now I'm out $175.00 for 2 48 sets. Do not buy if you believe they have any warranty.
