A Great Model
This is a great model. I'm very happy with the size, as the model itself stands about 2 and-a-half inches in height and measures about 4 and-a-half from wing to wing and from head to tail. The overall paint job is great and the coloring on the wings and head are especially noteworthy due to the amount of detail put into the eyes and the digits on its wings. Something I'm very appreciative about is the texture of the model. Particularly on the wings, which makes the model appear to have several layers of feathers over-layed on top of each other. I would definitely suggest purchasing this model if it fits your taste. Either way it's a great addition to a collection.

Best Replication of the First Bird
This is undoubtedly one of Safaris greatest Prehistoric models. It is a faithful reproduction of the First bird, and is a lot more scientifically sound then the other Archeaopteryx out there Archaeopteryx by Papo. While the Papo model looks like a cross between a lizard and a Bird, this one is unmistakably a bird in every way you see it (and its a lot cheaper).

so this was the perfect toy to add to his collection of prehistoric figurines
My 3 year old loves this Archaeopteryx. He's obsessed with dinosaurs, prehistoric animals, and all such things, so this was the perfect toy to add to his collection of prehistoric figurines. It has good detail and seems pretty sturdy. Sometimes he has trouble making the toy stand on its own because of how the legs and feet designed, but it hasn't been that much of a nuisance.

Its about time we get to see some Archaeopteryx figures (along the the Papo one) going around and this one is pretty accurate well detailed. I like it
