Mirantz DAB radio
This is a very good internet unit and lots to choose from for the price expensive and you have to supply your on speakers at an extra cost its very good sounding and set up can be a little tricky

Great sound but poor instructions
The good news - Item arrived very promptly and set up for basic use. Sound quality with my old Focal Chorus speakers is excellent in a fairly small room . Had been tempted by another at twice the price but really can't see how it would have even been 10% better. Delighted. The bad news - The only instructions were for quick set up. Not being an IT guru, I wanted the full manual to help on many of the other features like connecting to internet etc. Sadly the only version is online, well over 150 pages. My PC is in another room on a different floor so only option is to print. Have I got enough paper and ink?! Spoke to Amazon service who could not provide a hard copy but did offer a return discount to cover printing costs. Great service. However it begs the question why so many sellers only have online handbooks? It can only be to 'penny pinch'. GRRRR.OK rant done so back to enjoying old fashioned CDs!

Affordable system that offers bi-amping, and the ability to source music from pretty much anything.
Like:* Sound quality - so much better than my other Denon system that's more than twice the price.* Ability to connect to local music server, streaming services e.g. Spotify, amazon music etc., Bluetooth for phone streaming, internet radio... and it has a CD player (if you remember those).* Sub woofer out*Can act as a 2.1 surround system with your TV via sp/dif optical input (you'll need a subwoofer though) - nice that it detects when you turn the TV on and goes into the right mode*Offers true bi-amping (!!!), bi-wiring, and basic connectionDislike:It's not built like a tank - a bit plasticy (I guess they spent the money on the sound quality)

Fabulous hifi system
This system does everything you could want & more. Links to your Alexa devices via HEOS. Connects to Spotify etc, Internet radio, no problem, Bluetooth, USB, CD player & so much more.Plus it’s easy to connect to wifi etc.I’m in my mid 60’s, if I can do it, any idiot can!Highly recommend, knocks the spots of Denon!

A Streaming HiFi that won't connect to the network!
Bought this to replace a 6 year old MCR611, thinking that the technology would have improved. The 611 has excellent audio quality, but the software side is a bit "clunky".Connected up the 612, first thing that I noticed was that the display was EXTREMELY dim and difficult to read. Started "Quick" Setup (sic), found available networks without problem, but failed to connect using WEP key (3 attempts). Then attempted a manual setup, selecting network, and entering WEP key (which takes forever), failed to connect again "incorrect password", again I made 3 attempts and verified the password each time.I have reinstalled the 611, and returned the 612 to Amazon. We have 2 other streaming devices, both Roberts, they are extremely easy to set up and 100% reliable, sadly they don't have the power of the Marantz for a larger room.

If you do not have a degree in modern technology - don't bother.
I am sure (?) that if there were any instructions (help) provided by Marantz with this product that I would be able to rate this product. Purchased after two(Denons) failed I am keeping this Marantz.Main negatives. 1/ no help from Marantz unless I download and print the instructions myself.2/ very poor DAB sensitivity - external aerial installation £200 might help.Unable to comment on any capabilities other than the CD plays and some DAB stations can be received.Positives 1/ Good sound through my Wharfedale speakers.
