This is one of my go to favorite things. . I can reach the one spot in the middle of my back with this and it doesn’t glob the lotion on like other applicators. I usually keep 2 of them. One with everyday moisturizer lotion and the other with suntan lotion.The only downside is that it’s made of plastic and only breaks after a few months. The white beads pop out and won’t stay in or the plastic will crack. But for me this has been the best tool for reaching those hard to reach places on my back.

The unit has a compartment to place lotion in, but it seems to need to be completely full to work properly. I was trying to put cortisone cream on my back, and I didn't want to squeeze a whole tube into the compartment. What I ended up doing was just putting the cream on the exterior (rollers) of the unit, and it seemed to work all right. The concept is good, but the execution could be better. On the other hand, there is no real viable alternative to put lotion on your own back, so it's not a bad tool. It does seem easy to clean, and pretty sturdy. The handle doesn't bend and has the strength to go where you want it quickly and easily. The roller part has a clear lid that will keep the lotion inside from drying out if you do fill it up.

From the description, it sounds like a great idea: the little balls roll around, the goop on the inside coats the balls, the goop slathers over your back. Great!No. First, most of the balls don't move — they don't have the precision on the balls, so they are a little too big, so they don't transfer goop. The balls that do move, don't transfer goop from inside, because there isn't enough friction to move the balls once they get covered in goop. It may be possible to take the design and make a working unit, but it would cost five times as much.So why three stars instead of one? Because I slather goop on the balls on the outside, reach the handle around to my back (and THAT part works great) and I'm good. Next shower, I regoop the head again. For less than $10, I can live with that just fine. So if you know what you're getting, it's worth the price.

I loved it when I first got it because the lotion would be rubbed in by the moving balls. Soon after that the balls became immobilized and I just use it to rub on lotion I don’t get the same action that I got when I first got it. I’ve tried multiple times to unstick them and they seem to be permanent

I bought this as I have neck and shoulder pain and limited range of motion due to prior cervical spine surgery. I needed away to put on lotions on my neck and shoulders when my wife was not home, as she will always do it for me when she is able.It works good and reaches well. The only issue is when putting the lotion in the applicator as directed the rolling balls get sticky and don't move and well. Cleaning them is tough also. So now I just put the lotion on the out side and rub it in, and that works well.

I ordered this for my husband who has used one before and it wore out. He wanted another one he loves it. He uses it to roll lotion over his back. He keeps lotion on his back for itching and dryness. It works great for him.
