If you have people in your house who don’t pay close attention. The clear nature of it makes it more breakable. I like it for its easy cleanup and slip resistance. Glass does have a slight green tint.

For clay
I bought this for rolling polymer clay on..It's nice to have a nice smooth surface that is easy to clean.The first one that I ordered arrived completely shattered.. it was in a very thin box with no protection so Amazon had to resend me a new one. I got the second one in, with the same kind of lack of packaging but at least that one wasn't broken amazingly.
