Q: long does this tape stay on at a beach vacation when you're in water a lot?

I have not tried it out on a beach in and out of the ocean, but I would say not very long if it is on your face. The tape is designed to break down your scar tissue. Sweat will make the piece of tape slide around on your face if you touch it.

Q: does it heal & fade surgery scars?

Yes, Mepitac does work as advertised. It certainly is not immediate but gradual. One has to be patient. My wife had some facial surgery done that cut fairly deeply and required several stitched. She has been using the tape and it is incrementally leveling the skin and reducing the scar. Her surgeon highly recommended. She's pleased with her use of the tape. She uses it nightly.I trust this will be helpful.

I waited until my staples had been removed and I would suggest you do the same for stitches. It is a great product that helps in healing.

Q: Does the 1.5" silicone tape stay on better than the 0.75" tape for a wrist scar? The 0.75" comes loose just below my palm after washing hands.

I believe you can rinse the tape of debris and let it dry naturally to reuse it. In your case it may be the water is loosening it or the movement of the washing. Try using baby wipes to clean your hands and this should help keep the tape in place. You’re not going to use the tape forever so the wipes are just temporary.
