Big, beautiful results from a small piece of equipment
Purchased the unit and it was delivered the next day 4/11/2024. I wanted to use the unit with an old Sony Tape Player, and an old Sony 5 disc CD Player. Fortunately, I had the appropriate connections to use from both of the players to the unit, as well as an HDMI for the other connection to a speaker system. In addition, I had a required plug in electrical conversion piece used for some old items that required it for charging. For ease of use, I decided to connect the unit to an older Sharp TV through one of the HDMI ports to play both players through the TV stereo speakers, without having to rewire anything else.CD Player: Only two of the three connections are required for this purpose, since my old CD player had only two outlet connections for stereo play. Turned on the TV, placed several discs into the CD player and hit PLAY. The TV indicated no signal, but the sound came through the TV stereo speakers with nice sound (used the TV remote to change sound volume). When the initial disc completed play, the next disc was loaded and player kept working. Only issue with this setup, the Artist and Song Titles did not show on the screen without a third signal connection. Once this setup was used for music background during our dinner hour, I decided to explore the Tape Player setup.TAPE Player: this player is a very old Sony unit, for DVD and Tape play. Replaced the two plug wires from CD player and inserted the three plug wiring from the Tape Player. My Tape trial play was a very old original Avengers tape, Steed & Ms. Peel, episodes. The display on the TV, black and white, was not as sharp as current projections, but was viewable with no distortions, and excellent sound. My DVD trial was from the original Spiderman movie. Very good video and sound through the movie.CONCLUSION: For my purposes this inexpensive little box has allowed me to use some “old players” and enjoy old items that I thought were lost to me forever. For that I give it the highest rating possible!

Hdmi /av attachment
It works great for Long periods of times without getting hot. I have one for the wii and the original x box it's simple and easy to install and has great sound and the connection comes through clear and easy to install. It does not come with an hdmi cable so I had to buy an extra one, it connects to basically any cables with the red yellow and white cords. The compatibility is great it's small so you can hide it very well.

I was weary at first but I'm glad I purchased it! IT WORKS FOR NINTENDO NES!
I bought this because I needed a converter for my NES so I could live in the bliss of nostalgia and so far it's worked great! Just be mindful that an HDMI cord is not included but a power cord did come with the higher priced option. If you're looking around for a converter, this is your sign to get it. I'm glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews.

Got it to work finally
Was going to return initially when couldn’t get it to work with our new tv & old VCR. We finally figured out that the cable and the input were the issue. Switched to another hdmi cable and used a different input on tv and walla!Works ok - wasn’t anticipating super clear picture considering our new LG tv has mega pixels and our vcr is 20 yrs old.

Good product; keep it simple and it works
The product is fantastic; this is the second one I’ve bought. I use it for my Nintendo Wii/Mario Kart on camping trips with my friends. The only issue I had was with video clarity; that was solved by a quick unplug/replug of the RCA video input.

ANOTHER piece of crap converter!!!
This is the second one of these converters that I have been SCAMMED by, this one a different brand than the other. BOTH have worked for a few hours fine, THEN the audio goes completely out. I changed ALL cables out so it HAS TO BE DYSFUNCTIONAL. My DVD player is a brand new top of the line major brand that worked fine on another TV before I bought a brand new Amazon Fire TV. The audio works fine on wi-fi channels as well as antenna tv, so I cannot see any other explanation. I have worked with electronics my whole adult life so I know that devices like this often utilize the same chip or I.C. across brands. I have the feeling that they are using a chip that isn't up to the job as an audio amplifier or converter. I have half a mind to dissect this piece of crapola and test it myself as I have the equipment to do it. It just PISSES me of that I should have to do it, because all I want to do is watch the new DVD set that I just paid big bucks for and waited a week to get. SCREWED by yet ANOTHER piece of ROTTEN CHINESE WORKMANSHIP. It could also be poor construction/soldering but as the issue has happened on two different brands it is more doubtful, however knowing how these foreign scammy companies operate the two brands might be made in the same damned slave labor camps labeled with different names!

Be sure you have a 5v power source.
Needs external power to work. That should have been displayed prominently. This not an insurmountable problem but it complicates the installation as you now need a place near the adaptor to plug in a SECOND adaptor, wall current to USB, and hitch that to this product. Once you get everything connected correctly, the signal is quite satisfactory.
