I have a Tom Tom VIA 1515. I mostly use the GPS for the east coast, but sometimes travel to Phoenix or Los Angeles on business. Because of the storage limitations of Tom Tom devices, when I go to the west coast I have to use my old Magellan Roadmate, but the maps are outdated. The thing that I like about the Tom Tom is the traffic information, so I decided to get more memory in order to load all of North America onto the device. The Abacus card inserts into a slot that is just behind the USB port on the GPS. It also comes with an adapter, but was not needed for the Tom Tom. Upon insertion, a prompt came up asking to format the disk. I selected yes, then went onto the Tom Tom website and downloaded the entire map set for North America without incident. This also includes Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and other US possessions. The Abacus memory card works will with Tom Tom devices and is recommended for this purpose.

Nice product. My TOMTOM ran out of memory space for updates and this card solved the problem. Great value for the money.

I'm very pleased with my Abacus24-7 memory card. It was the proper fit for my VIA gps. I downloaded everything I needed, and I have plenty of space left.

It doesn't work with the Tom Tom VIA 1535. I got a 16GB micro sd card because the 4GB one I have will not hold the new larger map. But the Tom Tom VIA 1535 will not recognize it at all and I can't use it.

The little chip works FINE, and is a great help to the TomTom VIA 1605, because now it will connect to my computer, where before it would not most times..And, I can load entire North America program. The bigger chip seems to DEAD. I called and the supplier said they would send another one, but have not received at this time. Maybe, I do not know what the big memory chip is for?...Received replacement today, and works fine. Thanks. Very fast shipping and great customer service...

The micro SD worked like a charm and my Tom Tom was able to do the map updates without any issue. I know there are some Micro SD's on the market with higher transfer speeds but I have not noticed any lag in Tom Tom voice instructions.
