Definitely not buttery smooth but very very solid and no warp even with the drawer holding about 22 pounds of knick, kit coin, aid kits, flashlights, pens, light tools and pajamas.It was harder to take out the old 1970s strips than it was to install these, just make sure you carefully install the pilot holes correctly with a GOOD level so the sides are aligned. Simplest is to use one of those sliding-ruler-cabinetry-squares and just create a fixed line off the front of the dresser - can't assume the original manufacturer put theirs in right!

Bought these guide rails to replace the broken originals in a 1980's Danish teak dresser. The critical 17mm width is perfect. The original has half round ends, is a little longer, and a couple mm thinner. I did a little sanding on the drawer to accommodate the additional thickness on the new rails.On mine, the rounded ends match the groove in the drawer and also functions as a stop. With the square ends on these, be careful of the horizontal positioning of the end so your drawer will stop at the right place when closed.

After MacGyverIng the original rails which resulted working rails but with some difficulty in closing the drawer, I finally decided to install new rails. Wow, what a change. Easy and smooth closing the drawer! I might just change the other drawer rails too. Definite recommend!

These rails are decent and do the job. They aren't as rigid/sturdy as I expected but after they are installed they seem strong enough.

Not as deep as needed. Also a bit more flexible than anticipated. I will see how they hold up and update the review.
