I was honestly expecting subpar materials, but this set up is well worth the price. The strings are metal cable, which holds up very well. The pvc pipes are built so that the canvas material stretches to a good tightness. Biggest surprise of all would have to be the suction cups. They are heavy grade plastic cups which attach easily, and really stay in place. Clean your glass prior to applying and they won't move under the weight of the average housecat. Mine is using it to lay out all day, going nuts whenever the leaves from the trees fall towards the window. Well done.

So when I received the perch cat bed I was excited because my cat loves to sit in the window but because it's cold out now he can't. As soon as I set it up he jumped up there and loved it. Now my cat isn't a giant monster kitty he's about 14 lbs though, long hair domestic. Well after about a week the perch broke. Not just like won't suction to the glass either like the cable that goes through plastic pin broke and my cat fell from the perch while getting tangled in it so he couldn't even jump away.

My cats love this window seat! Unfortunately, the plastic coated support wire slipped through the metal clasp which holds the base of the seat to the window causing my cat to fall to the ceramic tile in the middle of his nap! This window perch went straight to the trash can. I didn't bother returning it because it wasn't worth my time nor did I want it replaced for the obvious reasons. Purchase at your cats risk!

I guess I expected a little more when I seen the photo. It does have me concerned with the actual safety of this for the kittens as it doesn't seem very sturdy. I think for one to get heftier suction cups so that when the kittens grow, sitting on it will be stable.

I had to shorten it a bit to fit the window, but my cat basically lives in this thing.

My cats are in love with this. I originally bought one and they fought over it so I ordered a second. FYI-just have to make sure the window is clean before putting up the suction cups-lol.
