This game is definitely fun! I got it on black friday and didn't regret not buying it. Totally recommend this to those who are into wrestling games. 2K games definitely pulled it off this year as theres a lot of good modes on the WWE 2k17. The graphics were awesome, the gameplay does however have some glitches but with the recent patches most of them got fixed. There is however a lacking of storyline as you're to make your own as you go along the mycareer mode. The doesn't seem to be any showcase modes either, but.. there IS the legend showcase which is DLC-able, not sure if 2K will release any other showcase that will be paid DLC later on. Overall in general this is a great game, definitely worth getting if you either haven't played any of the recent WWE games and is a fan, or have been a year or two away from the series. :)

this was a very nice surprise! The game play is very nice
I opted not to buy wwe2k16 so after a year away from a new wwe game, this was a very nice surprise! The game play is very nice. It seems to have much more back and forth action which is a very welcomed change. The moves feel like like they have weight to them so it is a very fun game to play. Some minor glitches exist but updates will fix these in time. Nothing major. Please ignore most of the negative reviews. They are only bad because people believe they did not receive the Goldberg pre-order bonus code but I'm sure they did (I did in my email) or at least they could contact amazon and get it figured out rather than leave a negative review not even based on the game itself. All in all I am very happy with this game and look forward to many hours of matches.

Nice improvements, but still lacking in Online Play
Let me preface this review by saying that I have less than 2 hours of game time under my belt since receiving yesterday. The game play is familiar and feels more crisp than in 2K16 and in my opinion feels a little faster pace. I like the speed at which you can go through the menus as they feel much faster to be able to get from point A to point B. The ability to earn credits towards unlockables in wins and losses is nice. The biggest area that I feel needs improvement is the online portion. With no view into who you will be facing I feel like I am always fighting an uphill battle when I want to play as a lower rated character since the majority of people you encounter online play with Brock Lesnar (or similarly rated characters). Also, nobody wants to hang around waiting in the training mode for a multi person match. The online presence in those matches seems to be non existent when those triple threat or 4 way matches were always the most fun and fair in the PS3 versions of the game. 2K17 feels like the same as the other PS4 versions when it comes to online where it is there but we don't want to have to work at it from a developer perspective, which is disappointing to me as this is where I would prefer to spend most of my time playing vs playing the AI.

A truly awesome game
I'm not much of a wrestling fan and I havent been since "The Attitude era." In my opinion it's all gone down hill and isn't worth watching anymore. The last wrestling game I bought/played was Smackdown and that was back in the early 2000's. However after watching a friend of mine play this game and having the chance to play it with him I had to get it!!! This game is awesome!!! The move set takes a little getting used to and you will struggle with your timing and pressing the R2 button when needed but over all its a darn good game. I can't sit and watch wrestling anymore, it bores the crap out of me, but this game is a ton of fun and definitely worth having for even the old school wrestling fan like myself. I AB-SO-LUTE-LY love it. Highly recommend.

Pretty awesome
Not sure what you guys are referring when you say it's flawed: the gameplay itself is pretty awesome, tons of wrestlers to chose, arenas, different fight scenarios, you can even chose referees & managers. Some of then faces look pretty awful though & I'd say the girls are usually the ones who look the worst. If you've been a fan of wrestling then you should really enjoy this game. I haven't purchased wrestling games for a long time because they're usually repetitive & lame but I this one is easily the best I've played.

It sucks. Essentially half the time you get out of ...
This game feels unfinished. The Character creation is more robust in some areas, yet took a step back in others. It is now possible to battle in the crowd.-Don't get excited, It sucks. Essentially half the time you get out of the ring your opponent will find a way to toss you over the barricades and into the crowd; Once there, it's as if the wrestlers are on a rail, as you can only walk 2 directions and simply strike your opponent. It's pointless and boring and it can be frustrating getting back to ringside as the AI seems to love playing this klunky little mini-game. The character models have improved graphically, though the game seems.. buggy. Occasional collision detection problems, frame-rate issues, and the game even seems to slow down at times just like No Mercy did back in the day. (Not enough to ruin the game) Something I find unforgivably lazy (in this series as a whole, but especially with this game) is the soundtrack. Has like 15 lame rap songs and Black Sabbath- Paranoid. So my entire soundtrack thus far is Paranoid, Kane, Taker, and like 5 other wrestlers' who's entrance music is not some lame rap or Poppy-NuMetal D-baggery. Gets old FAST. I hear the same 8 songs every 15 minutes. Why can't we upload music!? Anyway, final notes: If you like these games, buy it. I'm sure it'll be patched and as is, it is entertaining enough to merit $60. If you haven't played wrestling games since the N64 days, skip this one and buy WWE2K16- It's cheaper and it's a better game.
