Does the job at a great price
Good price and excellent performance. It had been a while since I had attempted any welding, about 40 years. The mask back then was just a dark visor and only when you struck up could you see your weld. This is quite a leap forward, perfect vision and instant reaction to the arc, extremely impressed.

Ideal for the DIYer and someone wanting to learn how to weld
I’m not a professional welder just an engineer with a Mig and Arc welder doing it for 30+ years.Bought as a backup and the quick 5 minute jobs as opposed to using an Air fed professional mask.I’m using it all the time now when allowed and not requiring the Air fed mask (fumes etc). It’s exceptionally light, comfortable and the viewing area is Very good. Reacts and behaves just as good, if not better in most cases to both of my “professional “ masks from the well known welding products companies. One’s a city and the other is anagram of ASAP. I thoroughly recommend it for price and usability. Especially for someone wanting to learn weld or starting out.

Fits well although a little flimsy, good screen for the money.
EDIT & Update - Fantastic Customer Service! After just over a year (so out of warrantee) the lens began to malfunction. Symptom was that of a flat battery, it would darken on arc strike but then randomly lighten which obviously means you can see nothing. Checked everything, cleaned all the pots, battery connections etc but still the same. The helmet had only had around 6 hours use so was a little disappointed.I contacted YesWelder customer services to find where I could buy a replacement lens (it was out of warrantee after all) unit as I couldn't find one from the usual suspects and gave them a description of the symptom. They responded within a few hours and after a couple of emails back and fore to get more details they offered a replacement. I thought they were offering a replacement lens but within a couple of days, to my surprise, a whole replacement helmet was supplied FOC. Fantastic communication and customer service, I still very much like the large viewing area and for the money the lens is very clear so yes, I'm still very happy with it for the money and with back up as good and quick as that it can not be faulted.I'm leaving the 4 out of 5 stars as it did have a problem but if their service could be rated separately it would deserve to get 5 stars._____________________________________________________Had to get a replacement hood in a hurry as existing one broke. Couldn't afford a branded one and wanted a larger screen. After a fair bit of research on the interweb I settled on the Yeswelder LYG-M800H as a cheap temporary replacement to keep going till funds allow something 'better'.I generally stay well away of the mountain of chinesium stuff flooding the market but now and again needs must. Not regretting it so far, it has its wobbly moments now and again struggling to go from dark to light, it flickers a bit till I look up so it gets more light. I don't have a problem with this, I'd rather this than it struggling to go dark!. Having 4 sensors seems to help, I haven't had a failure to darken despite some odd positions with the Tig. Darkening response is great, impossible to detect any delay.True Colour screen..? it does seem easier to see through when prepping but I couldn't say if that is down to such a good viewing area or better colour.. either way its plenty good enough. It is a bit flimsy (what do you expect for 59 quid!) but is comfortable, loads of adjustment to make it so..Suffice to say I'm not in a rush to save up for the 'branded' replacement, not much point really.Excellent value for money.

Good bit of kit
I've had this screen on my head for three shifts now welding with mig and it is a very good bit of kit, it's not too heavy to use all day, the clarity is excellent and the lense speed is very good.

Excellent
Have been using the helmet for TIG and so far it's been excellent! Large viewing window makes it easy to see, fitment is very comfy and easy to adjust. The only, and small criticism I would have is the small switch makes it a bit tricky to select the different settings on the fly, I'm having to remove my glove. Otherwise excellent performance so far.

BLIND DIRTY WELDING
I can’t see through this when I start welding. The auto dark function is too dark, no matter what the device is set at.The screen at the front lets a huge amount of dust and dirt through, after 20 seconds welding you have to dismantle the whole thing to clean it.Started a course last week and the instructor had to lend me an old mask so that I could take part. I would rate this as a MINUS 10.
