I gave this as a Christmas gift for a student and he loved it.

Got here in good time but it could have taken a couple of months for all it is worth. I may not know to play a flute, but there was no combination of fingers on this that allowed me to get it to sound more than 3 notes. It sits on the top shelf looking nice and gathering dust.

I haven't able to get any good sound out of it, but maybe it's normal for a folk instrument.However, proper training is required to play any traditional flute, and the cost and overall sound of this flute is not too boring for beginners.

Useless...terrible sound. I feel disappointed
