Began search looking for a led floor lamp. Got hookedon that large curved all in a single row wand. No 'fixture'on its end. Reading many negative Comments steeredme away, even though the design is extremely attractive.Finding this torchiere in the lamp forest was pure luck!!The picture of the top of the O'Bright floor lamp showsthe white led clear plastic side. We'd be lighting up theceiling which you entirely might wish.Other side of slotted disk is flat black like the base rest,and normally seen when the lamp is positioned for use.O'Bright OB-FL01D -- attracted to the dual equallyproportioned disks at base and at top a really innovative,thoroly modern, slotted disk lamp at top of an extremelyslender pole. The nearly 5-star comment rating hereconvioncved me to order ! OK:The first thing to notice is that the heavy base is shippedin the most amazing papiermache sculpture imaginable.Looks like a game of tunnels, towers and trolls, if therewas such a game.It is pretty easy to figure out how it goes together. Fourtubes screw together without a seam, pole looks one piece.Worry about the wire twisting too much inside whilescrewing the four pieces together.I've bought two, the second one, I 'counter-wound' wiresa couple turns before assembling... probably makes nodifference. Really like the minimalist disk design, skinnyblack pole, with the slotted torch centered at the top.You like the design, or don't. It's industrial art, but it'snot, It might even have a personality. At first touch, thenon-switch, no remote, and instant blast of light ismarvelous. Switch is not down at the floor but exactlyat the right height on the column, Touch it again, it dims.third caress turns the lamp into mood lighting. LEDarray at full blast is like daylight suddenly happened,natural, not blue or incandescent yellow. A slender 7'black cord with a simple connect to a short tail comingout of the pole about 2'' above the base, It connects toa tidy black transformer that plugs into the house duplex.Design allows full access to the second socket.Got a couple more...Now, on the fourth lamp. With its 66" height and 10" DLED array that at full bore will light up a whole wall, halfa room-- and do it not at table lamp height, not from aceiling light, but at a new 270 degree interactive personheight, which is new in my digs.Consider the lamp almost anonymous, it's a source ratherthan a thing. With its, could be a little longer, cord andeasy weight, pick it up, move it close to a table, behind acouch, point the cool to touch magic disk exactly, and you,on the column, with a gentle how-do-you-do make it goaway -- or blast like a shaft of sunlight thru a window.Everything seems right. It deserves an award. EbbPS: Had a switch go bad, sent a USP return label, newtorchiere arrived almost at the same time I droppedthe return at the store. Like immediate.

This is my second of these lamps to purchase, with the remote. The first I purchased did not come with the remote. The 2nd and 3rd both have the remotes. I love the remotes! They are easy to pair and easy to use. The lamp itself is lovely and minimalist, taking up very little horizontal space and being just the right height to light a room. I got them in the antique brass. They can get very bright and can also get very dim for "mood" lighting. I love that I can choose the color temperature of the light - usually I pick a warm color that is off white/a little amber instead of a cool bright white. I could not recommend these more.

Benefits of this lamp:1. The design is simple but modern; it can fit in every room that decorated in modern style.2. Its 3-level dimming function can meet my needs for different brightness.3. It is a floor lamp when you rotate it up; it is a reading lamp when you rotate it down.4. No need to change the bulb, for it is a LED lamp.Drawbacks of this lamp:1. The light is not bright enough; therefore, to cover the whole living room, you may need two.2. You need to look for the switch sometimes for it is an inconspicuous touch switch.We purchased this lamp because we moved into an apartment with no lamp in the living room. Our living room is together with the kitchen. Also, our living room is 18’-4” x 16’-4”. Therefore, the light in the kitchen can only cover less than half of the living room. All you can see on the other side of our living room is dark. After a few days sitting in the dark, we decided to buy a floor lamp. After excluding a bunch of choices, my girlfriend and I chose this one eventually. We both loved its design. As I said above, it’s simple but modern, and easy to install. However, we immediately found out that it is not bright enough to cover the whole living room. After some consideration, we decided to buy another one. This time, our living room looked perfect!We usually used them as floor lamps. But sometimes, with the rotatable head and dimming function, they could transform into reading lamps. Many friends praise them for their good looks when they came to our home and saw them, which made us a little proud of our aesthetic. We all know that LED bulbs can save more energy and last longer than ordinary bulbs. Thus, we don’t need to change their light bulbs. Moreover, it is still as bright as the first time we turned them on.Even though it sounds good, it has a place to improve. The touch switch is located on the stem so inconspicuously that we would have to look for it sometimes. So why not just make the switch on the floor, so that we can turn it on by stepping on it. Alternatively, design the touch switch at the edge of the head. Then that will be much easier to turn on the light.All in all, we are quite satisfied with the lamps for now. They have never had problems after a few months of use.
