It’s not bad at all.
I spent some time on the reviews and many of these monoculars have some negative aspects. This one seems a little better in this regards and so far I’m not disappointed. The Adasion is solid and robust and should be a handy alternative to carrying binoculars. The field of view is bright and clear and presents a very good even image, which is exactly what you want. The depth of field is a bit short so refocusing is required for different distances even at medium to long range, however it does this easily and the focusing wheel has a nice firm travel. The objective lens is 50mm not 56mm as described but the view is still bright. The eyepiece is large and easy to look through and features a good eye relief adjuster for you spectacle users. The lens caps are a heavy rubbery texture that fit snuggly. The front one is tethered but I’ll have to teacher the rear cap myself. The tripod is actually quite nice and light weight if you decide to use this. I haven’t used the phone camera adapter yet and I suspect it’s a little flakey as per the others that have been described. Even so it’s a nice little extra and should be fun to play around with. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to compare the Adasion to any others so I don’t know which is better or worse, but I’m quite happy with this one. As a suggestion I would recommend a monocular with a fixed focal length like this one rather than a zoom model which are more likely to suffer image quality problems at this price range.

Impressed
The media could not be loaded. Excellent device you can get close up to the wildlife and with the phone attachment you can take videos or photos my first attempt at a video the deer is about 300 feet away and the unit is on a tripod supplied and taken through my window of my home .my I phone is about 4 years old so with a more up to date phone camera you could probably achieve better results.the price is amazing its well made and feels good in your hand ,great size if your out walking and want to get abit closer to what ever you want to look at .very pleased with this purchase.

Surprised at how good it is for the money.
I bought a refurbished one. The carton it arrived in was original although a bit battered. But that didn't concern me.The accessories that are included are very good and will be of use, especially the mobile phone adapter. The monocular itself feels pretty rugged and well made. What surprised me was how good the image is. The focus knob is easy to adjust and is smooth to operate There is minimal chromatic aberration noticeable. The image overall is on par with my much more expensive Hawke ED binoculars.Great value for money.

Not good with a phone
Average lens quality and not expensive. Maybe OK to use hand-held but not practical to use with a phone, very fiddly to set up and poor results.

Viewing through my left eye
Although I'm right handed my left eye is stronger than my right eye so I was pleased to discover that I could hold the device in my right hand while viewing with my left eye easily. It may sound minor but for me it was an important plus as my left eye is by far stronger than my right. The monocular itself is first rate, easy to use, fits nicely into my coat pocket and very easy to use. Very happy with my purchase.

Much easier to use than binoculars
The pictures views are so clear that I thought I was looking at some odd shaped blackbirds in the tree outside my window and it turned out that it was crows in a tree behind it on the other side of the valley. I find the handstrap worse than useless, it gets in the way of adjusting the lens, but this definitely needs a stand for those of us with grey hair and a less than steady hold. I have a good eye and a shockingly awful one. I really find looking through the single lens much easier and I like the way that the bit comes out from the eye lens to stop you getting too close to it but goes back in for strage.
