Worked well
I used it for elevations on footings out doors. Only worked about 20 feet away

Good purchase
These have indicators that can be seen from all angles which make it much more convenient and easy to use. My old one only was visible from the front. I tried to see just how far away from my laser level I could get and was surprised at the range, and also figured out just how not level my property is.

Good for 50’
The laser window is way too narrow. That, combined with the beam divergence on the laser, renders this useless for any real range. Do not expect this to compete with a Topcon or other outdoor laser level. For closer in projects, it works as advertised.

solid build
My 16 line laser level has three output levels; high, low and pulsating. This detector only responded to the low level output, out to approximately 33ft. Now go figure.

Just as accurate as more expensive name brand units
Tested against a much more expensive spinning laser system and this was just as accurate. Great value for the money.

Works if the power of the laser is reduced from the laser's remote control. However, the range is reduced also.

You may need to adjust laser brightness to detect laser
I had trouble at first, because detector could not find laser beam.I realized, I could adjust my laser levels brightness or intensity of the laser, and then it could detect the laser beam. I turned down the brightness or intensity one position and it worked as promised.I am very satisfied.
