Freedom to roam
Freedom to roam, after my son was diagnosed with hypotonia and cp ( we call it floppy baby syndrome) it became apparent that he wasn't walking anytime soon. He is two years old & I hadn't been able to go anywhere without a stroller. I'm wishing I would have thought to get one of these sooner. I always thought they were so expensive, I would just use a stroller. After many comparisons and google searches I settled on this one which reminds me if you are looking for the backpack go to crosslinksmart.com. The price is way cheaper than anything else out there but the quality is just as good. We just went out on a five mile hike, he loved it! I thought for sure I would be sore especially around the shoulders however it never happened. I was all alone & able to get him loaded up by myself , the pack has a great kickstand, he felt safe and secure in the pack. Thick padding is all around as well as nice sturdy straps. The sun shade is easy to slide on or off, I like that it has protection from the elements. Also there is a nice big storage compartment attached to the back underneath the child. I was able to carry enough diapers, wipes and snacks. I do wish there was an easier way to get to the water bottles while hiking when I'm by myself. Since it holds up to forty pounds my child will be in it for awhile. The pack was comfortable for him, he fell asleep while I was hiking. I would recommend this backpack to anyone. This is one of my first reviews I hope it is helpful.

Comfortable, Adjustable, Sturdy and Fun!
This backpack is very comfortable to wear with a child in it. The shoulder straps are pretty comfortable but the only part that starts to ware on the back is the bottom bar along your tail bone. I'd suggest a comfort pad for that you can put on and off. The latches for the bottom harness around the waist is plastic so if your loading a child into the back pack while its on the ground there is a chance you will step in the clasps/latches for the waist harness and risk breaking them. Mine broke after the first time I stepped on it :( but it's replaceable. Best to load it on the back from a table with a child in it. The comfort pads on the shoulder strap for the child sometimes slips over the clasp/latch and is very hard too get back on sometimes. Also the drool pad comes off pretty easy and my child easily takes it off and there's risk of losing it. Maybe make a better Velcro patch that's tougher for a toddler to tear it off or even make it have a latch or clasp. Overall it's a lifesaver and my two toddlers love going with me on walks in it. The rain and sun shader is very useful and protects the child from sun, rain and wind! I give it 5 stars! Well worth the price! Good job CleverPlus Staff!

So this is love…
This carrier is a lifesaver! From the sturdy support, to the cover for shade and rain, feet saddles, it’s surprisingly very comfortable, so much storage, and I prefer to wear it over all my other carriers I’ve tried out!

Love it!
2022 Edit to add: I used the pack quite a bit for around two years before the nephews were too heavy. It held up great and was still in perfect condition a few months ago when I passed it off to a relative. She loves it too for walks around the neighborhood with her 1 year old. If you’re considering this purchase, get it! The cost is worth the memories.2015:I bought this to use with my twin nephews so my sister and I could each carry one of them and they both love it. They are now nine months old, about 22 pounds, and fit comfortably inside. We even took them on a 10k walk a few weeks ago and the pack worked out well. The shade cover is a nice feature, the pack is comfortable to wear, and the kick stand makes it easy to take the pack on and off with a child loaded. After about an hour in warm weather it gets hot to wear but otherwise it's a great pack. My only wish is that there was a zipper pouch easy to reach when the pack is on, large enough to carry more than some chap stick and some loose cash. Overall, we loved this pack enough to buy a second one!

Great price and even better quality! We loved it!
This is the best investment I've made on Amazon. I was a little concerned about the color because it screams "look at us!" But it is awesome. My son is 18 months and loves it. It's extremely comfortable for him and he loves using the feet rest to stand and look when he wants. The quality is great and the price was even better! I didn't mind spending more money on a better backpack but after reading the other reviews this one, won me over. I'm 5'3 and it was perfect. The straps are padded and comfortable. You can wear the backpack close or far and it was still easy to carry. The large bag was nice so we didn't have to carry another bag plus the smaller pockets around the waist made it easy to keep my keys, hotwheels, phone and anything else I needed easy access to. My son liked this way better than a stroller and so did I. I definitely recommend buying this over some of the more expensive backpacks.

Great carrier
We typically take 2-5mile hikes. We took this out and did a 3.5 mile hike with our 24# toddler and it was great! I’m 5’4” and had no back pain or difficulty carrying her. She was happy as could be. It’s easy to put on with the kickstand out and a waist-height surface. The straps are easy to figure out and all the pockets are a nice added touch. Would definitely recommend!

Very happy with our purchase
Love this backpack carrier. It’s great for the price, we have gone on 5 hikes in 2 months and I love it. My daughter is 9 months and happy as can be when she’s in there. I’m 5’2 and I’m the one that carriers our daughter on our hikes. It’s pretty comfortable but since I’m short it’s a little on the longer side for me so it digs just a tad into my hips but it’s bearable. It has a compartment where you can can carry things on the bottom and it zips up. I didn’t think a lot would fit but I was able to fit my huge ass first aid kit, a change of clothes for the baby and my 6 yr old, 2 cloth diapers with a changing pad, wipes her bottle and extra formula and snacks for the kids. It freed up some room in our other hiking backpack and it really didn’t weigh me down much. Honestly if you’re looking for a starting hiking backpack this is the route to go, I’m very happy with this purchase.
