Like anything, you need to practice. The largest one is the easiest one to make sound like ocean. It takes some time but once you figure out how to make the balls stay closer to the middle and slowly move the drum, it really sound like the ocean. The smaller ones work too, just less wiggling. Lol They came packed securely and feel well built.

I was introduced to this ocean drum at a retreat where the yoga teacher was using it in her classes. I just love the ocean wave sound that one can make with these drums, and I happily sit down and very gently tilt a drum this way and that, and create quite a zenlike ambiance. You can close your eyes and imagine you are at the water's edge on the beach. They make cool gifts too!! And well worth the money for the pleasure it gives.

Grew up by the water, love the gentle noise you can make with the drums. Simple design, simple use, relaxing sounds.

These were a good value for the set of 3 but I found only the larger drum to be of any real use to me to make a range of sounds. The smaller drums do work but take a very steady hand and minimal movement to create the necessary sound. I ended up returning for a better value on 1 larger drum

I love the sound and ease of use

I use these ocean drums in mediation and they’re so calming once you’ve gotten the hang of it.
