Great to have for the compact router.
Lightweight, great quality, easy to use and a must have for a compact router. Very sturdy and allows great control keeping me from having to pull out the full size router to do plunge cuts on smaller cuts.

Very nice.
The media could not be loaded. Coupled with the DN6913 Edge guide this Plunge base worked great for me. Setup was easy. Adjustability and operation are very satisfying for a me, a relatively new woodworker. For me to setup and produce a perfect dado or edge rabbet in just a few minutes was evidence I made the right choice in these tools. This is one smooth operator.

Take the plunge
Had one of these for 10+ years and its always worked great and use it almost every day. Recently got a second router and found I had a need for a second base so there you go. I do recommend adding a bit of dry lube to the rails to help with the bearings/sliding.Edit: I should also mention that the acrylic base will need re-centered if you plan to use any sort of bushing with it. Don't assume it's perfect from the factory. Easy enough to do but simple to forget.

Very handy addition to my toys . Use it all the time. Good quality
I do luv this thing on my tiny little DeWalt the plunge does kinda hang up from time to time but once u kinda get the feel for it it works great. Use this all the time luv it . I don't use dust collector or anything just let it fly so can't really help with messyness or cleanup opinion. But very versatile and comes in handy. They sell a guide for it and it is nice to but u can't use the guide for acrylic or really thin pieces so keep that in mind. For thin stuff I made a guide out of acrylic .

Awesome attachment for the compact router...
Recently acquired the Dewalt compact router and figured I need to get the plunge base. Or it was a good excuse to buy more tools? Anyways, of course it fits the router perfectly. You do need to take of the plastic height adjustment ring as it hits on the one column cover. Not like you need it, it is a plunge base. Although, it would be kind of nice if it did work, you could dial down the height, so you don't have to plunge so far each time, if you are using it for a long time. The build quality is pretty much perfect, what you would expect from a Dewalt tool. The plunge action is nice and smooth, works as it should. You do need to move a big level to release and lock the plunge action. At first I thought this was kind of odd, but it makes sense, very handy feature. When you plunge the router stays in that position, so you are not constantly plunging up and down. You are not always needing to keep the router "down". Now I have to see if my Makita compact plunge base has that, I don't think it does. The level is easy to push with your finger while using the router. One thing, another reviewer said template guide bushing do not fit, well they must have a strange one, as the set I have fit's it fine. While my bushings are not the standard, Porter Cable, they fit every base I have, ones that are made for those kinds of bushings. You can see from my last picture, they fit well. The base does look to be made for some twist lock attachments, but I don't know what and I can't find anything about it in the manual. Any one else know?Very happy with this base, makes the compact router even more useful. Frankly it's kind of a necessary addition if you plan to use the router often. The price was great.Highly recommend!

A great way to upgrade your compact Dewalt router
Excellent accessory that adds a lot of functionality to Dewalt's compact router. It's built well, it's a simple & straight forward design, and it functions smoothly. If you already have the router, it's a worthwhile uprgade.
