My oldest is 6 and we’ve had infant optixs all along. We have 3 cameras. One has audio that quit working and we’ve gone through 3 monitors!!! When this 3rd one broke, I refused to replace it with $$$ since the youngest is almost 3 now. I got Hello Baby for literally a quarter of the price and it’s SO MUCH BETTER!!! We have thick concrete walls and the kids rooms are far from ours. The signal works perfectly whereas the other used to need to be placed outside our door. I like the color. The picture is better. Very intuitive to use and, best feature if you have young kids, the antenna is stationary and can’t get ripped off!! Great quality and wonderful price. So happy. I would never spend all the money on the other brands if I tried this first.

This unit works well.It connects super easy..no instructions needed, which is great because not many are provided.The video feed is smooth and clear.The video sound is as good as one needs it to be but I don’t use the lullaby music as I think it sounds a bit tinny.I really don’t need date/time but it was an easy set up.I love the temperature sensor as the thermostat for that floor is in the master bedroom and the temps in baby’s room get much cooler with the door closed so I can check the monitor to assure it is warm enough without having to go in and chance the baby waking up just to check a temperature gauge.The quirks -After a year of using (only at grandma’s house, so not real often) I have noticed it beep once for no apparent reason 🤷‍♀️Another time, late at night, the screen came on for no reason. Wouldn’t you know, it was late at night and I was up alone when it happened. Batteries were good so that wasn’t the problem. Not sure why it did this.Tried to troubleshoot but there is no product support on their web HELLO BABY page. At all! Just a contact. I found it really odd that one can’t even find a user guide for it. I throw all my manuals away when I get something set up because I know I can get them online but I should have kept this one. How does a person do any troubleshooting if you don’t have one?For that reason, I gave this product only 4 stars.

This is a decent camera set. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy. I just wanted an easy, inexpensive monitoring system.Pros: I LOVE that the camera view can be controlled by the parent unit. I have two kids in one room so I can move the camera angle to check on both without going in and disturbing them. I like the talk back feature. I like how the time and room temperature show at all times on the main screen. I leave it plugged in for the most part, but the battery lasts for at least 8 hours if I forget to plug it back in after nap but before bed. It’s easy to switch back and forth between cameras and even has a rotating view option to switch between cameras for a short time automatically. The parent device is a good size for my pocket if I’m walking around or go outside, but has a kickstand if I put it down. We have a small house, but I get good connection all though the house and a little ways into our yard or driveway.Cons: Occasionally the camera will cut out for a few seconds if an electric device in the house interferes with the frequency. It resolves quickly and doesn’t really bother me, but I’ve had more expense cameras in the past that didn’t do that. My only other complaint is about the lullaby feature. Only about half of the 8 options are actually relaxing. The others seem a little too upbeat for my toddler. You have to remember which ones are which before you turn it on accidentally and ruin their sleepy mood. The volume is great coming out of the camera, but it’s so loud coming out of the parent unit. I have to put it under the couch pillow while it plays for a couple minutes so I don’t have to hear it. We have other sound machine options so I don’t usually use this feature.The pros outweigh the cons for me, so I’m happy with the product. I don’t use the feeding timer feature, but there is one.

Update update: We ended up having issues with our monitor no longer cutting on. One brief (and quickly answered) email later, and we had a replacement otw to us in less than a business week! We ended up buying a Vtech replacement for the meantime that was $20 more expensive with a monitor half this size and a stationary camera. I didn't realize how spoiled I was after my Happy Baby setup. For this price range, I don't think you could choose a better setup.Update:So, going the cheap route has popped up with some issues! While I am still mostly happy with this purchase, the monitor sometimes goes through fits of losing signal. I stay in the room beside the baby and the signal is still strong, but the screen reconnects on and off quite often. Turning the monitor off for a bit seems to help briefly. There is also an issue where the monitor freezes or has a "rolling screen" issue, which I don't really know how to explain. The image freezes briefly in a purple, black or green color, and then rolls (like movie credits) upwards and then the stream continues as normal. Sometimes this happens multiple times in a row. Additionally, the monitor makes a sound, sort of like a Maraca now, when you pick it up and move it. Lastly, the monitor battery starts to suck after a few weeks. It has to be charged almost every other day now, or just left on the charger.Original:Take this with a grain of salt, as I've never used amore expensive monitor, or any other monitor at all for that matter. But why would I need to? This thing is perfect. The image is clear and you can rotate the camera quite extensively. The screen on the monitor is huge and the fact that this doesn't need any wifi or Bluetooth is great. You just plug it up and then it connects. The battery life is good, the temperature monitoring seems accurate and the connection range suits my needs. Extremely happy with the peace of mind it brings.

This has by far been my favourite video monitor set to use. I love how user friendly the interface is on the monitor, it's very easy to switch back and forth between the two cameras and the quality is so much better than I expected. I can even see my little one breathing when asleep. There are a lot of super helpful functions that are easy to access and toggle. The main reason I went for the set with two cameras, was to have a second set of eyes on my little one when I have to get stuff done around the house, in addition to the bedroom monitor for sleep. I love the 360 pan and tilt function, it allows me to keep my eyes on my little while giving me peace of mind that I'll know if anything happens right away. The intercom function is pretty cool, being able to talk to my little while I'm in another room has been very useful when I can't get to them right away. The range has been awesome so far, I can go anywhere in our home and even outside in the yard - this was one fearure I was worried about based on other reviews, but I haven't had any issues so far and it has in fact surpassed my expectations in range and in every aspect. I can't say enough good things about this product, as well as the customer service team; I had an issue with my screen and they were very swift to remedy the problem and were extremely helpful and kind during the process which was very refreshing. I would absolutely buy this again, and will 100% recomend this to all of my mom friends.

Works great. The picture quality is perfect for my use, night and day vision is pretty clear and I have this set up 10 feet from the bed. The zoom function works well also. Love that this does not require Wi-Fi so it will be perfect for camping. The battery life blew me away, its about 30 hours before it is dead. Super loud volume, and I love that I can turn off the screen with one click on the power button and still hear what is happening. It does not have a find parent unit function so just make sure you know where you put it down if you travel around the house with it. Fantastic product for the price.

Have used camping (with 12v cable for receiver, and mini inverter for camera), awesome settings to be able to pan left/right and up/down.
