It works out of the box (does require three D batteries not included). It doesn’t require a wifi connection, bluetooth, or app. It has built in backups so it will continue running on schedule even if the power goes out. The programming isn’t fancy but if you can set the clock on your stove you can probably figure it out.My cat has a sensitive stomach and I would have to give him a whole days worth of food because of my work schedule. The auto feeder helps eliminate his ability to binge eat and make himself sick. He’s taken to it easily. The capacity is enough for over two weeks of food for my cat.I was a little concerned that having a robot feed my cat would negatively impact my relationship with him but I feel like not being viewed primarily as a food servant has actually made the relationship healthier and less toxic.Overall, absolutely worth the peace of mind and freedom to know that if something comes up I don’t have to worry about my cat going hungry. Also really appreciate the simple tech involved without having to sign permissions and terms of service.

I ordered this feeder because my cat was constantly meowing for food in the morning. While she still does, it's definitely gotten a lot better the more she gets used to it. She immediately caught on when I set it up. Being able to feed her multiple smaller portions through the day has led to her begging for our food less too. Overall better for her health because it's good for weight management, prevents her from eating too fast, and she's in a better mood getting fed through the day instead of just two meals every few hours.Setting up the meals was a little bit confusing at first but once I figured it out it was really simple. It's super easy to clean, dispenses the food properly and at the right times. It doesn't take much space and looks great.Definitely worth it for the price, which is what drew me in. I ordered the one without the stainless steel insert but I'm happy to see they sell it separately so I ordered that as well. Highly recommended!

Nicely priced automatic cat feeder. Simple to setup and has been working well. The only difficult item to gauge was how much per feeding (its just a scale of 1-20 but no associated measurements) It seems like 10 is about a standard "scoop" of food and I have just been changing the settings as I see fit to have less food over multiple feedings. I like that it automatically locks the screen as well so no kids or cats can mess with things. Would recommend.

Don't make your cat mad, keep the hopper full. This feeder does not have all the bells and whistles that some of the more expensive feeders might have, it has what it needs. There is no stainless steel bowl included, rather plastic. There is no App, just a simple LCD screen. However, it has a 3L hopper with a well sealed lid, a strong motor that is reasonably quiet and operates on either USB-C or D-Cell batteries. There are a number of feeding schedules and volumes that can set and programming is easy and straight forward using included directions. I've been using this feeder for a few months now, it's easily cleaned, still runs like new and hasn't failed, I feel good about it's longevity at this point.

NEWEST UPDATE: Both feeders are keeping time perfectly! No more hassle for my two cats. When they hear the food releasing, they each run to their dishes to eat. This company was very responsive to fixing the problem! Love these units and would recommend to others!UPDATE: This company was quick to reach out to me to fix the issue and promptly sent a replacement unit. I'm going to change my review to five stars instead of two because of the great customer service and the feeders do work great. Hoping this new one will keep time better.______OLD REVIEW:I would give five stars for one feeder but I purchased two - one for each of my cats. One feeder loses time quite quickly causing chaos due to one cat not getting fed until 30-45 seconds later. If I didn’t reset every morning it would get worse. Very annoying and frustrating as I’m an 81 year old woman who doesn’t rise as easily from bending and not bending is why I bought them.

Quite surprised with the build quality and functionality of this feeder. For the cost I was not expecting much but this thing works flawless. Easy to program as well. Portion sizes for one unit are a little small but it allows you to program up to 5 units at a time and multiple feedings per day. Well worth your hard earned money.

Works exactly as it’s supposed to. I like that it has a battery option/backup. I’m moving soon but currently I keep the cat food in a spot that doesn’t have an outlet very close. The battery is working fine in the meantime. The portions are pretty small but I feel that’s a positive as you can better manage the amount dispensed. Also felt like it was very easy to set up with the guide provided. It’s harder to change a car clock than this imo.

This unit is great! I purchased 2 for our cats, ad we are going on vacation in about a month. Cats got use to them pretty quick. Easy to set up for meal time and portion. Our cats eat 1x day 1/3 cup each. The P6 portion is perfect. I'll try to update after our vacation of just a few days.
