I bought a non-name-brand hot tub in 2002 (Lifespring, I think), and finding filters that fit has been SO hard! The closest size is "B", but sometimes even those are too tight, and I have to shave down the plastic edges to get it to fit all the way in! Additionally, I always see sizes 'A' and 'C' listed, but type B is very rare now for some reason.These filters are a godsend! They are just slightly smaller in circumference than the B, same length, and they are reusable- much better than the paper one-use ones I've had to resort to. These cost more, but by being reusable, you can blast them clean with a hose and use them (hopefully) for a couple years each, as with the original filter that came with my spa. I'm absolutely thrilled to have found these.

I see no difference between this & the branded one we had. My grubby husband has been in twice since installation and it seems to be filtering just fine. I only wish it could stop him from peeing in the hot tub, just kidding. Sort of. The real test will be time. We always seem to keep filters way beyond their reasonable life expectancy. So I'll give an update if this one passes away too soon.

These replaced my Pleatco PFF42TCP4 spa filters. The pleating on them looks identical, and they thread in effortlessly. The string makes it much easier to remove the filter. The price is probably the minimum you would need to pay, and ordering two at a time makes sense. That way, we always have a clean one to pop in while we take the old one to the car wash at our leisure and spray it down (our house water pressure just can’t do it). This is a nice filter at a nice price.
