This item although cheaper than others was perfect for what it was intended for. It was made of good thick quality material and joined the two pieces of tubing together of the same diameter with ease, even though one tube had a larger distance between the wired coil.Once both pieces were firmly together there was no seepage of air from them and did not effect the performance of my Air conditioner, I guess if you wished to you could tape them together but I didn't see the need plus it made it easier to disassemble when storing.Once I had assembled the whole unit any excess tubing I collapsed on either side to make the tube too the shortest length possible to maximise the device's performance.My tubing is clockwise but it appears to be designed for anticlockwise tubing aswell, personally I cannot recommend this item enough and saved me from purchasing a longer exhaust tube.

This coupler has accurate sizing, fits 6 inch/150mm diameter/circumference hose air cons, as advertised, which I was pleased with. Material is durable & sturdy. Fits perfectly to my 900 BTU Goodhome Takoma air-con.
