This works great and I used a pice of old PVC pipe I had to make a handle. Construction is solid and I’ve been using it on the beach when I metal detector. It’s light enough where I can carry it for an hour or two without difficulty. Whatever you decide to use for a handle, take the weight overall into consideration. I’ve carried shovels in the past and the lower the weight the better the outing will be.At the end opposite the scoop end, there is enough space to put the ball of my foot to help “shovel” or dig into the sand.The ‘screen’ size is great to allow all sand to filter through while retaining objects I discovered, such as coins and other metal trinkets. Overall it’s what I expected and am very pleased with the product.

It’s really good to use! On days when I bring my child I let them use it with me and they have a great time . It’s super sturdy and easy clean off also
