Easy to do but not without grief
Easy to download but do yourself a favour and either screenshot or write down your serial number as you will need it once you have installed the software to verify it. I didn’t and it was a real pain to get it verified.

Dark mode added at last
The most noticeable change from PSE 21 (the previous version I had) is the very welcome addition of a dark mode, as has been available for many other apps for some time. For me, that alone was worth the upgrade. There are also a few other tweaks that improve the user experience. The only small niggle is that the app sometimes insists on creating a new version of a file with the word "copy" added - when the new version is different, i.e. not a true copy. Overall, though, this is definitely the best version of PSE yet.

Appalling rubbish
I've used Photoshop for 20 years but it's on 2 other computers and couldn't put it on another.Firstly getting it on the laptop was ridiculous. You have a redemption code at a serial number and its not easy to get it all sorted.The actual interface is really crude and I think it is a real waste of time.Go buy affinity for photos which is about £70 and apparently it's very good compared with full Photoshop. Please don't waste time and money on this element version!!!

Operating system requirements
The product is not a spectacular upgrade and the electronic transfer via Adobe and Amazon was not particularly easy especially for "non-techies". The Black Friday price was good but needs a careful check of the Operating System to see if it is compatible.

easy set up

Adobe product activation is awful
When I went to the Adobe activation page and entered my account ID they forced a password change without explaining why. I know I recorded my new password accurately because I used generation in 1Password and copy/paste. When I tried to run Photoshop Elements it required a login but my new password was rejected as invalid. I could still log in to my Adobe account with the new password, but it does not show this purchase, only previous versions. After a couple of attempts to access Elements I have now been locked out of my Adobe account. So in summary, after having paid and installed Elements 2024, there is no record at Adobe of my purchase and I cannot use it.Also, although Adobe say that Apple Silicon is supported, the app cannot actually be run without installing Rosetta emulation.

The app is for a Mac and I was looking for one for a PC can it be changed?
