A robust and quick SSD in a neat form factor. Was worth it and it will always be a good idea to backup your files.

I've been doing a lot of video content creation lately and quickly realized the needs for more and more storage space on the fly. I didn't want to go all out building a separate file server, because the costs end up being much higher than simply buying individual external SSDs along the way. I don't need to repeatedly access files once my projects are done, and I felt that going with a couple of these external SSDs was a better way to go.Since I use only Samsung drives (M2s, SATA, external, etc), it just made sense to go with this particular drive. They all work with Samsung Magician and I never had a drive fail on me, yet, over the years.This external drive has exceptional speed (for an external drive) to allow me to transfer files between my M2 drive being used for my workspace.

I have been using T7s for the past few years to backup computers and store footage for content creation. I needed a larger drive for video editing with Final Cut Pro. This drive has been great so far and really fast. I like the rubberized outer shell, feels high quality and dense enough to protect the drive if falling. The drive does get pretty warm while editing for awhile but I haven’t noticed performance issues as it has gotten warmer. Even on a thunderbolt port the highest read and right speeds I was getting was around 800-900mbps testing with Black Magic’s tool.
