Good Will Hunting (Screenplay)

A bit bias, but I adore this movie. Could easily pick up this screenplay and crack on reading at any point.

Affleck and Damon ought to get back together. This is a brilliant debut picture for them as authors. Good stuff.

Everything went as expected, good delivery timing, the screenplay and introduction from Gus Van Sant was excellent, however with my copy (not aware if it's with every other copy), during the break up scene with Skylar and Will, a page was reprinted and replaced some of the argument half way through a page. It erased a good chunk of dialogue, which was frustrating, but ultimately everything else was fine.

Brilliant film, brilliant screenplay

Written by couple no body kids from Boston just goes to reiterate true beauty is perhaps best borne to hands unworn from the grits and grind of “professionals”. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon took a very mundane story and injected it with so much love and passion that even the grand price of the Oscar could not ignore it. I have always loved these two, no matter what they touch, is linked to the greatness of what they once did.

I bought this book for college project. The book is exactly what I needed it to be and what I expected it to be great book!!

There is no right or wrong particularly-----there is something more like honor and dishonor within each character."This wonderful screenplay, written by two lifelong friends, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck is set in South Boston as the central character, Will, hides an enormous amount of past hurt while struggling to get it all out with Sean, his appointed quick-witted psychology professor....who has demons and sorrow of his own.An orphan and self-educated young man "smarter than the most decorated MIT professor", Will hangs out...and hides out emotionally with a "scrappy" and entertaining group of southie drinking buddies who would protect him with their very lives....as would he them. There is also a love interest for Will that tests his abhorrence for change and willingness to trust.GOOD WILL HUNTING received a well deserved Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay in 1997.Enjoyed the movie more with its 'few' minor changes to script, but the screenplay with its introduction and black/white photos interspersed throughout was definitely a winner and quick read for me!

Best script ever!

It's great. It's got pictures from the movie too. If you love the movie, you'll love the screenplay. I wish more movies released screenplays like this.
