Good for ears 🏰
I’m not an expert at sewing, but I’ve made several things in the last decade. I’ve used sequin fabric before too and I knew it would be a pain in the butt (and it still is hah) but I wanted to use this to try and make mouse ears for our next parks trip. I’ve seen similar ones online but not willing to spend the $45 they ask for. I ordered the ‘unicorn’ color and it’s very pretty in person! Makes a giant mess and it’s hard to sew by hand, but I’m liking how they’re coming out so far. I’m overall glad I ordered this fabric, hope my 5 year old appreciates it too hah.

Exactly what I pictured, lovely piece of fabric.
If you sew regularly, you've probably seen this fabric in the prom/fancy fabric section of any standard sewing store. It's a mesh with small seqins machine stitched flatly to the fabric, and sewn on densely enough that it's almost opaque. Although, if you line it with something, the lining will peak through a bit. It's fairly light weight, and with enough heft to drape well as part of a dress or skirt. As a Burlesque and belly dancer, I'll be psyched to use it as part of my costumes. The color was good, and the quality was fine.FYI - if you are new sewer, this type of fabric will leave sequin bits all over everywhere when you cut it. But it usually finishes fine, and won't go sequin dropping much after you've put your creation together. But don't start cutting on a shag rug. You'll never be free of sequins! :)Note to shoppers - the prices go down as you buy more volume. IMO - this is a great value at the higher 2-5 yard volumes. At the 1 yard, it's just about standard pricing. I'm fairly sure it's a constraint of the Amazon system that you can't buy a more flexible set of yardage - ideally you'd be able to by any given yardage and get a continuous piece at the price appropriate to that volume... but that may not be the way this sytem works. Admittedly, I rarely buy fabric on Amazon, because I'm picky about texture and want to see the fabric directly before buying it. But this at this price was a no-brainer.
