Perfect retro fit

The overall finish is of good quality, but i did have an issue with the locking mechanism.One handle was catching and sticking on the lock mechanism. Unfortunately it was on the side that I needed to install the lock on.Had to file a couple of mm off the moving plate inside, to ensure smooth operation.I couldn't be bothered to return and replace the item, so i chose to fix it myself.Took a bit of adjusting to ensure locking bar was perfectly straight. It may not work first time if you are replacing existing handles and the are slightly off centre.My other issue was no instructions. It was trial and error to get the locking bar measured and cut down to length.If I had known how much length to add on to insert into handle it would have speeded up installation considerably.Other than that, it's a decent product and much easier than having to cut in a tubular lock and mortice unit.

Good replacement for broken handle - good match!

Unsatisfactory, returned to retailer. I wished to use this handle to 'back' an X.fort brass handle with similar operation. It aligned satisfactorily with the two shafts, but had a lot more 'play' before the cam locked against the securitybutton, allowing the latch to disengage from the outside, whilst immobilised from the inside. The allen key provided was useless ,and the overall finish was not as 'crisp' as the brass one. No complaints with reatailer, I'm just hoping for a refund, as retailers letter said refunds for unopened package. How do I know if it's satisfactory, or even operational if I dont open the package

Needs update to work better

Very easy to fit. drill one hole for the lock mechanism instead of chopping half the door to fit a standard locking mechanism.

Poor quality handles which do not lock effectively due to poor manufacturing
