Astonish Shake & Fresh Carpet Freshener, Eliminates Odours, Lemon Sparkle, 350g (Pack of 3)

When your carpets carry the scent of a damp dog or last week's favourite curry, this little product does a decent job of improving the air quality. It has a refreshing citrus aroma, which, although lively, doesn't quite last until the next morning. You will need to use a fair amount of this powder for the full effect. My main concern is that the 400g bottle seems to disappear after just a few liberal shakes across the floor, much like seasoning a steak with a heavy hand. On the plus side, it's incredibly easy to use: just sprinkle it around the house after convincing the toddler that it's not play sand. Despite its brief scent, the product is effective in dealing with unwanted odours, although it requires a bit more vacuuming effort than expected. It's quite useful for those occasional refresh sessions when the living room carpet matches the garden lawn.

This has a lovely zingy citrus scent but lacks longevity of scent. I've scattered this on the carpet and left it overnight but it's never a strong scent to open the door to the following morning, and even less strong after you've vacuumed it all away.What it does do well is remove the smell of dog from our carpets; we notice a vast improvement after using this. So it does work!We do seem to have to use most of a bottle across our downstairs rooms for one "treatment" so it's not something I really wish to use weekly. But it's worth using for the occasional freshen up.It also seems to take quite a lot more vacuuming out of the carpet than other brands we've used although it does all vacuum out.

Cleans and refreshes carpet with a light lemon fragrance .I sprinkle leave a while then vacuum.Not expensive and works really well.

It smells really good when you sprinkle it across the carpet. But even if you have left it for a couple of minutes before vacuuming, as the instructions say, the smell doesn’t last that long. For me, it lasted probably only 8 hours. It is easy to vacuum from the carpet and I wouldn’t mind using it again.

Recent carpet cleaning left a residual sour smell - thus really helped.

Good make, cruelty free too. Went a bit mad and used too much first time. Very strong. Lovely smell, really refreshes the carpet. I used a bit in my bin too and just as effective. Good product, don't be too heavy handed it doesn't need it

This product had a lovely subtle scent that lingered for four days despite reviews that criticised its durability. It loses a star because the quantity in the container was finished after three uses (did I use too much?!)! However, I would give half a star back on account of the low cost. The powder was easy to apply after I chased the cat out. I prefer the scent to Shake & Vac but the supplier needs to double the quality to increase lifespan.
