More effective than others.Why did you pick this product vs others?:Better quality

The product is great but is extremely time consuming. Took 2 hours for product to melt properly. It is enough to do 2 jackets. Doesn't have a smell I would recommend parchment paper and an iron to smooth out any unevenness.

Great product

I had been eyeballing some Filson work pants, the oil tin cloth pants, bit the price tag of 200 made me think there has to be another way. Rugged pair of canvas carhart pants and this fabric wax (along with some patience), and I’m very happy with the outcome. Not sure if the pic does it justice, but after a sloppy application, really working the melted wax in to the fabric using a wood tool, I think these are bullet proof. My new go to weekend warrior pants. And still have enough left over for a jacket and maybe a future application to these pants in a few years. Super happy, but also interested in the fabric wax bar for even more heavy duty garments. But after going through this process with the melted wax, I am sure you would need a solid heat gun or hair dryer to get the wax in deep and evenly applied. Doing a large garment with a wax bar seems intimidating, given the work I put in with this one. But man you can create some really durable long lasting water prof garments. I’ve done some hats, makes them heavy and almost leather like, really like how this ends up in canvas cloth.

Hard to work into fabric and has a weird smell. Although the Filson wax is more expensive it is easier to work in and doesn’t have the same odor. It works once you get it in but I also found it didn’t last as long as Filson wax.

First coat do the bar, second coat use this. I coated a jacket, lots of compliments and the more coats you do the better the waterproofing.

Kind of a mess to work with but that is expected really. Worked great for waxing fabric.

Great product! Hard work but hoping it pays off. I let the can sit in near boiling water to liquids and then placed the can in a small crockpot filled with water to keep the wax liquidied. One pint was enough to cover an entire XL canvas jacket. Currently waiting for it to cure. It took the original jacket color from a medium khaki color to a rich brown bomber jacket color.
