1 of 3 upgrades needed on this printer
In order for your sovol SV08 printer to be reliable, you need three things1. this hotend (stock one has a very tight tube where any filament that isnt exactly 1.75mm will get jammed)2. replace the crappy white bowden tube inside the extruder hole with a high temp smooth blue bowden tube (taper the end going in).3. If your extruder starts clicking and your pathway is clear, it's because the motor gear is rubbing against the housing. Search on thingiverse for (SV08 extruder fix) for a motor spacer.

Replace you SV08 hot end
This thing is great on my SV08. With the stock hot end, I could not print PETG at all. With this one (and some fine tuning), PETG looks as good as PLA or ASA (which I mostly print with). Looking forward to printing some abrasive material with the hardened nozzle I also purchased.

This Was My First SV08 Upgrade
I installed this MicroSwiss hot end when I was assembling my new SV08. I'd read that the original hot end works well enough, but the design and implementation of the MicroSwiss hot end is close to perfection. The machining is gorgeous. It's been printing flawlessly for a week.I love that I can now cold swap the nozzle in one minute, using only one hand and nothing more than a 7 mm nut driver (DYN2804, on Amazon). Replacing a nozzle on the original hot end required removing and reinstalling the heater and thermistor without damaging the fragile wiring, while getting thermal paste all over my fingers. That's why I've never swapped nozzles to optimize printing. It was such as hassle that I only replaced nozzles when needed to fix a broken 3D printer. It's so easy now, I can install a 1.0 mm nozzle to quickly print large items, or swap to a hardened steel nozzle to print carbon fiber filament.I also love that MicroSwiss makes hot ends for most popular 3D printers, and will continue to do so. Any FlowTech nozzles I buy will work in my next 3D printer, just as soon as I replace the manufacturer's hot end with the compatible MicroSwiss hot end. All modern 3D printers use high flow nozzles that are very similar to the Volcano nozzle, but just different enough that we need to buy the manufacturer's new proprietary nozzles. A year or two later, when that 3D printer is obsolete, those new proprietary nozzles go in a landfill. It's a scam, but MicroSwiss isn't playing that game.

Nice replacement Hotend for the SV08
This is a nice upgrade for the SV08. It is plug and play with not modifications needed. The replacement nozzles are a bit expensive, but I feel like you get what you paid for in this case vs some of the other hot end options.

Liking it now, originally Disappointed – Received Used Product Sold as New
I returned the broken hotend I was sent as new and was sent a new one. After running 3 or 4 rolls of PLA through it the quality is excellent. I haven't tried any other materials yet but so far I have been very happy with the swap.Original Review:"I ordered this item brand new, but it arrived with a broken seal and the hotend visibly covered in melted filament. This clearly indicates it was previously used and is likely a broken return. According to the invoice, this was sold and supplied directly by Microswiss. I’ve always heard great things about their products, which makes this experience even more disappointing. How can something in this condition be sold as new?"

It was going so well
well as you can tell from my picture my hotend leaked (leak proof?) and quite a bit. Not sure what went wrong i only have 15hrs on the hotend and it has the nozzle that came with it ( I never removed it). I did the plug and play install and loved it i was ready to do a good review. Now i have to figure out what went wrong and clean it up (I did some prior to taking pic the heater was coated inside the silicone sock).

Great hotend. Worth the money and effort to install
Works so much better than the original SV08 hot end. No more loosening of the hot end and destroying the throat of the hot end during printing. You may have some slight z-offset calibration issues due to the relative height difference between the nozzle and sensor.

Great hotend plenty of flow and print quality is great. It's super easy to install and worked fantastic seeing as i have these on all my printers so I can use a single nozzle type. However my sv08 had issues with this it ruined my sliceworx plate (70$) after setup calibration and i did a few prints and was tweaking flow and settings to get the most out of it. Out of no where my next print it just drove the nozzle into my brand new sliceworx build sheet and I did not notice till 5 mins afterwards it cut right through the coating leaving huge dips in it making it worthless. Not sure what happened since nothing physically changed such as z offset or level I printed on the stock plate after this accident and never had another issue. But I eventually swapped it back out for stock hotend because I just didn't trust it since I only had one plate left.
