Great little machine
The machine is great. Fast starting and does everything I need it to do.The Refurb IT MCR (VAT) guys I spoke to were Exemplary at every stage of what proved to be something of a Saga. The First machine took an age to arrive via DHL (All the problems were caused by the Courier) who provided updates on their web site that were pure Fantasy. After a week of waiting, I spotted an update on their web site saying they had picked up package from the supplier, almost a week after saying they had already done so! After that I took a keen interest and monitored the situation closely.I was in no particular rush so I let it ride.On the advertised delivery date, Despite sitting less than 6 feet from my front door, with a four legged hairy and very loud door monitor in place, an update appeared on the DHL web site saying they had attempted delivery but nobody was home.!!!Oh really? I think not, God knows where they did try but it certainly wasn't here. The next available delivery slots were inconvenient so I opted to have it delivered to WH Smith in the next big town. This took almost another week to accomplish but the system worked and finally I had my new machine. The machine looked to be in great condition and worked out of the box, all seemed well.Despite being a relatively old model it was in pristine condition.I was slightly disappointed that as expected It had arrived with the 8Gb DDR3 RAM which is mentioned in the advert text (I checked), rather than the 16Gb DDR3 that are implied in the advert graphics.I have discovered the advertising generic and is provided by Amazon NOT the seller.Despite contacting Amazon about this issue I notice that the advert graphics have not been corrected several months later.Happily rather than the expected DVD drive there was actually a slimline DVD Writer fitted, handy should I need to burn a disc. However despite everything appearing to be working as it should in device manager nothing I tried could make any sound come from the Sound Card. The system just did not detect anything being plugged into any of the ports front or back. A quick check showed that it was an integrated card with no plugs to come loose. It was knackered. With a heavy heart I contacted the Seller expecting little joy. After a perfectly reasonable technical conversation asking, have you tried this and that? they offered to try to resolve the issue by remote access. I agreed.I called back at the agreed time and granted access to their engineer. He went through everything I expected him to do, he was also explaining what he was doing comprehensively on the phone at the same time and arrived at the same conclusion as I had. It was indeed a dud. What really impressed me is what happened next.Ok. We will send out a replacement machine to you, it will be with you tomorrow.I wasn't at all hopeful the time scale was very realistic or even feasible (it was 1.15 pm) but I agreed.I opted to have it delivered Via DPD this time. The replacement machine arrived the following afternoon complete with a return label for the defective machine.I had offered to have the original packed and ready to do a one for one swap, but they said they were quite happy for me to keep both machines for as long as I needed to clear all the personal data I had already transferred. The new machine worked and continues to work perfectly happily this time including the sound.I noticed It had obviously been installed from slightly different Windows 10 image with a different software set up. The instructions for the activation of windows were clear. It was my first experience of a SSD and I am amazed at the difference in speed. Windows is up and running in just a few seconds and so far not a single crash.I returned the defective machine a week or so later in the superb packaging it was supplied in.At every stage of the process I was treated as a valued customer, despite my order being at the much cheaper end of their range. Having spent the best part of 35 years in the IT world and having been a field service engineer for Dell and Fujitsu, I know that it would be very easy for them to have assumed I was just some old duffer who had plugged the leads into the wrong hole and talked down to me, but they didn't.I have visited many properties over the years where something similar to that was indeed the solution.I think that Refurb IT MCR (VAT) deserve public recognition for their handling of my problems.Should I need to purchase another machine for any reason in the future they will be my first port of call.I highly recommend them to anyone as a reliable company you can trust.I do.Thank You.

Good value for the cost.
Works very well. Thankfully it was well packed as the DPD delivery threw it over a 6ft gate.

Doesn't work
Doesn't work. When I got someone to transfer data. Whole day in the shop wasted. Life's too short to return, and would have been much cheaper to buy new

Nice little PC system.
I was sceptical about buying, especially a refurbished machine from a company I didn't know, so I went more on the customer feedback and took a chance.I didn't need to worry. The system arrived well packaged, and secured. The cosmetic appearance is like knew, inside there was a little dust on the fan but nothing extreme.I bought mine with the SSD and it's super fast. I have never known Windows 10 to power up so quickly!I have placed a low profile 710GT graphics card in mine, as I don't need a powerful card for what I want it for - just office work and the occasional hidden object game! The integrated graphics doesn't have HDMI so you'll need a VGA lead if you intend to use it. I got mine for £3 before I upgraded the graphics. Also the power lead included isn't very long, so you might want to purchase a longer one if you need the extra length. I didn't, but I thought I would comment all the same. There is a DVD Rom drive in mine, a reader not a writer, so you might want to upgrade that if needed. I already had an external writer which I use via USB, along with an external HDD for storage. The USBs are 2.0 only. There is no USB 3.0. My only gripe really. The system itself is very quiet. I've had bases' that sound like they're ready to take off, but this can hardly be heard when on.Once you have booted it up and entered Windows 10, I would advise making a backup. This will be your recovery disc if you ever need to re-install. There is a desktop icon ready for you to click, this will allow you to make a backup to USB or DVD - I did a DVD backup and burnt the entire thing to a DVD disc. You will also need a Microsoft account if you wish to use the Microsoft store and download any apps - I found this particularly useful to download some hidden object games I wanted to play, like Hidden City and some other G5 games I'm into. All in all, I am very pleased with this little system. I have never had a base this small, but it fits in nicely with my new desk and the limited space.Additional things you will need is a monitor (VGA compatible if you are using the onboard VGA graphics or HDMI support if you intend on upgrading. Most monitors cater for the two, but double check your connections before buying) - and a keyboard and mouse. I already had a spare monitor and the keyboard and mouse I picked up from my local Asda store for £12.As for the company itself, I did email them and they got back to me within 2 working days. You will need to pay for postage back to the company if you decide you simply don't want the system as it doesn't suit your needs but they will reimburse postage if there are any faults. This again, is another gripe - I would have expected free return postage regardless, especially being supported by Prime, but I don't need to return mine, so this won't effect me personally..I hope this review helps in your choice.

Screen flickering-arrived not updated
Speed: The primary motivation behind my purchase of this PC was its remarkable speed. My previous computer was struggling, but this new one excels in performance. Tasks that used to drag on now complete in a fraction of the time, greatly enhancing my overall computing experience. However, one aspect of this PC left me a bit dissatisfied initially. When I first powered it on, it didn't behave as expected. The screen displayed a continuous flickering blue, which raised some concerns. I had to power cycle it a few times, and eventually, it required some updates to function correctly. In addition to this, I was taken aback by its size. It turned out to be considerably larger than I had anticipated, especially compared to my previous, more compact PC. I had to rearrange my desk to make extra space for it. While the size was a minor inconvenience, I made the necessary adjustments. This PC offers excellent value for the money, primarily due to its enhanced speed and performance. Despite the minor hiccup during the initial setup and the size issue, it has met my expectations in terms of its primary function: providing a faster and more capable computing experience.
