Definitely worth the extra dough if you really need to fix broken glass

I broke a fairly heavy and akward glass trophy and tried to fix it with 3 other kinds of "glass glue." None worked as advertised. Then I tried CRL. I only had to apply a small amount on the various breaks, hold the blue light on the spot for about 15 seconds, and "bam!" -- solid as a rock. The trophy is completely repaired and back up on a shelf in my office. The glue dries completely clear, leaving no residue or foggy spots on clear glass. This product works just as advertised, is fast and easy to use, and in my opinion is better than any of the other so-called "glass glues" being sold in Home Depot and elsewhere. Definitely worth the extra dough if you really need to fix broken glass.

Weak strength?

Seems pretty weak every time I've used it and it doesn't glow , comparing it to loctite may not be fair tho this is a good bargain and it does work I just use more of it.

Best buy for the buck, and it WORKS GREAT.

Showerdoordirect shipped this is phenomenally fast, and the product itself is amazing - fast setting and strong bonds. Using the cheapie 51 LED flashlight sold on Amazon, set time was approximately 10 seconds. I followed the manufacturers instructions to the letter for this success:1. Clean both surfaces with denatured alcohol or acetone - raw chemicals with no perfumes or additives such as is in household glass cleaner.2. Dry both surfaces - I used a paper towel3. HEAT BOTH SURFACES - I used a heat gun without a temp setting, but a hairdryer should work fine - just so it's a little warm to the touch - BUT DON'T touch exactly where you intend to put the adhesive, as finger-oils will sabotage the adhesive bond. Touch near that location instead or use a fancy touchless thermometer gun.4. Apply sparingly - the med vis spreads very well.5. Hit the light, and remember UV activation is LINE OF SIGHT - so if you can't see the adhesive, it can't "see" the UV and won't set.

Hands down the best uv glue for glass art!

I think the title is wrong saying uv682 it should be uv604..but the 604 medium viscosity is the strongest.. on my 4th bottle of this stuff. Im a glass artist an it bonds better than anything else ive tried. If u want better ul need to get a 2part epoxy..Few tricks i learned over the past year using it.1. The medium viscosity has the most strength, the low viscosity is good for small cracks where the glue is thin enough to get drawn into the small areas. But doesnt have alot of strength.2. If ur putting to large pieces 2gether warming them up to qbout 100degrees helps prevent tiny bubbles.3. If using clamps dont over squeeze it. U want it thin where the bond is..but u dont gotta go nutz an it can squeeze out 2much glue leaving weird air bubbles.4. If there's going to be weight or sum kinda force the connection has to hold, let it sit a full 48 hrs to cure after the initial uv cure.5.The best uv light is a strong 365nm uv light. U can do a quick 3 second exposure then use sum acetone or alcohol to clean of excess glue that squeezed out the sides. Then do a min or 2 long exposure to finish it off.6. U can break the connection with heat. If u have a metal piece stuck to glass use a heat gun or torch to heat up the metal then twist it..dont burn urself an keep in mind glass cracks from to much heat.7. Not good for resin casting or building up..the end product wont be crystal clear itll look a lil foggy..its crystal clear wen bonding glass together tho8. U can use a sharp excact o knife to scrape off excess glue but be careful this is strong stuff an wen it finally does break loose or cut thru u can easily cut urself.9. Very water resistant too. Hope this helps

GOOD stuff! (Scratch this comment) "Big bottle"

Of all my different types of "liquid Plastics", that I've picked up this one so far is the best! With more hobby money will definitely buy their other products. Just nice to work with, great product.***UPDATE 9/16*** as I've used this product more and more, and compared with my other "plastic repair liquids" I've lowered my rating on CRL med. Insight, I have 3- 365nm UV lights and 8- 395nm UV lights for my "curing" sources. (FYI, the 395 is the bright UV source)., I dont use a "fish tank" UV Florescent bulbs and I don't rely on the Sun, I should not have to. Next, "med viscosity" is fine (for my comparisons of 6 other brands of this product). ***I'm an older guy and for years have held my nails and split skin together with the "Super" products. They are too slow for me any more. So I've started using these products on my fingers and nails (besides all of my projects and tests). ALL of my "others" work very good on old guy fingers AND you can always SEE where you've repaired your fingers with the "others" by lighting with UV... and they set right up in SECONDS! (Watch out for the "HOT factor" on repairing fingers)... EXCEPT WITH THIS CRL PRODUCT, no heat!. Yes it does work well on some items but not all, "setting" up is a pain and it remains... "tacky", messy...and yes, I have put these projects out in the HOT AZ SUN... <sun = 365nm if I remember correct> Also I have "parked" my 365's (multiple lights) for lenghty times. So...Here's where I'm going with this, I purchased CRL from Amazon (who I love dealing with), BUT I called CRL "support" at their number and wanted to know merely if the girl could check my "batch number" for old age or defects. As soon as I said "batch" she came right in over my voice and said "you bought it from Amazon!" And with that she hung her phone right up. So I would rate their phone support poor, batch numbers are put in/on for a reason AND I DONT EXPECT AMAZON HELP with "batch numbers".Conclusion, ALL the other "products" seem to "illuminate" with UV and burn like heck when setting up a cut finger. The CRL is the only odd one. No BURN, residue everywhere, luminance valve is real poor and never, never, never "sets up". Don't waste your time with their support and other than their bottle is larger is it a "value?" NOPE, but it is a frustration. I haven't used mine in well over a month now. I've stuck with the other products THAT WORK.
