Conair Hair Dryer with Folding Handle and Retractable Cord, 1875W Travel Hair Dryer, Conair Blow Dryer

I bought this blow dryer because I had the exact one before which lashed 10 years of being kept in my bathroom cabinet (used 6x a week) or thrown into a bag when traveling. I accidentally dropped my old blow dryer from about 2 feet off the ground while using and it turned off and wouldn’t turn on again no matter if I reset the buttons on the plug. It’s smaller than many others available but what I like most is that the handle folds and it has a retractable cord. This-like the smaller size-is wonderful when traveling. The cord isn’t as long as I’d like it to be but I understand extending the length would offset the girth of the handle it retracts into. When pushing the retract button, you’ll have to guide the last 6 inches or so back into the handle. It’s really not much to complain about and a rather small price to pay for the convenience of not having to bother w a long cord especially when packing/traveling. There’s also a cool shot button which comes in very handy when you need a quick cool off. It saves me from standing in front of the oscillating fan for a few minutes. The blow dryer has 3 speeds and does a very good job of drying even though it’s not a full size dryer. I have very long, thick hair and this dryer cut my 20 minute drying time by 5 minutes. I know it doesn’t sound like much but anyone whom dries their hair on a consistent basis knows cutting down your blow drying time by 5 minutes is extremely helpful. I was lucky enough to buy this blow dryer while on sale for $18.99. I highly recommend this to anyone especially those w small hands or whom doesn’t like to hold heavy dryers. Hopefully this one will last as long as my other one-if not longer!+ I’ll update w any pertinent info

Ive been traveling with this portable drying for about 2-3 years now. Its been in Europe, several cruises and 4 countries in Asia. Its reliable, compact and easy storage. No issues.

This is a good hair dryer, but the recoil stopped working quickly :(

I already had a nice yellow Revlon blow dryer but decided to order this because of the retractable cord. It's pretty much exactly the same size as the Revlon, so if you're expecting something tiny this is not it. I could understand someone buying this for travel use being unhappy about that...However, for my purpose (an extra blow dryer to keep in the bedroom for post-shower and other random usage) it's everything I wanted and more. It has all the same features as the Revlon - the useful "cool" button in particular - and the retractable cord feature works extremely well. I didn't need to manually force it inside as another review mentions. I pulls the cord into the handle with real oomph! Maybe the last few inches need help, but who cares?Overall verdict? 5/5 despite being larger than the listing seems to imply travelers beware of that -otherwise a great blow dryer with a retractable cord that works really well.

In August 2024, I purchased this hair dryer and was very pleased with the features. The cord rewind was good but sometimes it would stop working. When it did I would rub some hand lotion on the cord and it worked again. The ability to fold the handle allowed me to keep the dryer in a small drawer. It has two speeds but a couple of months ago, the low speed quit working which didn’t bother me because I only use the high speed. Then in July 2025, it stopped working altogether. It was a very good dryer when it worked and I purchased another one hoping that it will last longer than 11 months.

This is the second time I have bought one of these particular hair dryers. The first one lasted several years, and even though the retractable cord would indeed occasionally get stuck, I loved it while it lasted. It's compact (even when the cord gets stuck) and it's really powerful! I loved it so much that when it died and I needed a replacement I had to buy the exact same model. And the second one, so far, seems to be perfect! Sometimes you get more than you pay for.

Powerful compact hair dryer. Love the retractable chord. Great for traveling. This will be my go to dryer from now on!

This dryer works very well once I am able to turn it on. The problem is that if the cord is not pulled out to the right length (approximately one and a half inches past the orange tape), it will not turn on. In addition, sometimes it takes up to three tries to rewind the cord completely.
