King Arthur Gluten-Free Single Serve Chocolate Cake With Salted Caramel Chips, Non-GMO, Packaging May Vary, 2.25 Oz (Pack of 12)

These chocolate cake serving cups exceeded my expectations. They are perfect for when you have a sweet tooth craving. They are really great dessert when paired with a scoop of ice cream. I’ve had a dessert with both the chocolate chip & the chocolate cake & I love them both. I am 100% gluten free so these are my new go to for dessert!

This is an excellent GF cake. I've tried a few mug cakes, as I like to keep around something safe for when cravings hit me. I've had to "augment" recipes in the past, like substituting milk for water, but this is honestly better if you make it with some filtered water. I made it both ways and my boyfriend agreed that the texture and taste was better when using water - it also cooked up much more fluffy in the microwave, instead of collapsing a bit. The taste was more or less the same for both, just off-set a bit by the oat milk. The texture is so like a regular cake I couldn't tell the difference, but my bf (who does not have to be gluten free) said he could tell.The flavor is a dark chocolate, but not bitter - dark enough not to be cloyingly sweet. The caramel chips are delicious and almost TOO numerous, actually (for me, not my bf). It's the perfect serving size. To me, all of these wins make it worth the price for a sometimes-treat! I generally love all the King Arthur gluten-free treats, and they don't give me any issues after eating (like bloating). Highly recommend!

I try to stay away from sweets and am also on a gluten-free diet for life. But when I need a yummy dessert, these do the trick. They are really convenient and quick to cook in the microwave. I add a dollop of sugar free ice-cream ontop, right after they come out of the microwave and they are delicious!

Ok. This product makes living Gluten-Free positively delightful. Cannot say enough good things about the product. But that makes the next part all the more disappointing. I was so sad in my heart when I saw that 2 of the products had been punctured during the shipping process. They are individual and there is no extra layer of protection around each of them, so likely as they got jostled about en route to me, the chocolate powder of 2 victims went spilling everywhere. So...it was messy and we lost out on 2 desserts. I did not return them because 10 out of the 12 were in perfect condition. My recommendation to the manufacturer and/or the distributor is that they need a little more love and protection for the trip.

I would give this product 100 stars if I could -they were so very delicious. My celiac daughter fell in love with them!!

They don't sell the Chocolate Cake With Salted Caramel Chips anywhere around here, and it's hard for me to justify buying a dozen of anything I haven't tried... But I finally caved, and I am so glad I did. Before that, I had only tried the brownie and chocolate chip cookie ones, which I had liked but hadn't loved. (For me, like-but-not-love makes sense as far as GF stuff you can "bake" in a microwave, so I was pretty happy with that. We can't use our oven or buy fancy GF baked goods these days, so any good dessert will do!) This one, though? The chocolate cake with salted caramel chips? I LOVE IT. Probably too much. I like the consistency better than the brownie, which is funny because I love the consistency of GF King Arthur brownies made from a mix when I can bake them. And salted caramel?! Woohooo!!!! These make me really happy. I have to add 10-15 seconds to the instructions because our microwave is lower voltage, then I let it sit for 3 minutes. Then sometimes I put a little bit of vanilla ice cream on top. Really, really good. My favorite easy dessert yet! Thanks King Arthur Flour!

I love these little cups - my sister buys them frequently. I ordered 12 personal serving size cups that arrived in a box with 2 rows of 6 cups - 2 on each row arrived dented and open partially spilling the dry mix throughout the box. The outside of the box did not appear damaged which was really peculiar because I assumed the box must have been damaged for these to be dented. At roughly $2 per cup, I think undamaged cups should be packaged and better protected so as to not open and spill contents. I will probably try one more time to buy these and see if this is a persistent problems. The perils of chocolate addiction......
