Best UPS I ever had...goodbye APC
We've been having regular brown outs or power outages. Either way, my NAS freaks out and forgets who it is. Then the NAS runs chkdsk for a week. Just as my NAS was finishing a scan from its last outage, the power went on and off about 5 times. This boogered up the NAS again. I ordered this because it works well with the NAS I have and it will also shut the NAS down safely if the power does go out. My other UPS can't do that and it needs another battery as well. Big thumbs up on this product!

Excellent equipment!
Excellent piece of equipment. As I replaced the old one I noticed that they're the same unit. The old one lasted 10 plus years. After 10 years the failure of the old unit was my own fault.

Excellent UPS
I bought this because I have frequent power blips and outages where I live and one of those blew up my old system a couple years ago--even with a surge protector. I didn't need something industrial, I just needed something to last about a minute or two while my Generac kicks on. It's running my PC with no issues.I did a ton of research and was about to pull the trigger on something more expensive that can handle 650+watts (that's the power supply in my computer). But after reading some Reddit threads from people who have gaming systems that demand a lot of power are using this size. Just because your PS says 650w, it doesn't mean it's using all 650w. It just means it can handle up to 650w of installed components. My system is running an AMD Rzyen 7300 8 core processor with an onboard Nvidia graphics card. As per the Cyberpower Powerpanel Personal app, I'm using between 50 and 90w (if I'm watching videos) and I would have about an hour runtime if the power went out. I'm not a gamer, but those other people were and they didn't come close to maxing out the limit on this unit. I unplugged the UPS from the wall and my PC wasn't affected at all. This was a great investment considering I can't afford to build another new PC if the power goes out.

Great for keeping small electrical devices on in power outages
Bought this to keep my internet router and wifi hub active when the power was "blinking" out 10 times a day after a hurricane. It does solve that problem. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is that when the power went out for a longer time, the backup died after about 15 or 20 minutes. To be fair, I had the DVD player and 55" TV plugged into it.

EC850LCD So Far, all good. TBD.
UPS EC850LCD. We'll see if I need to update this or not, later. Just received unit.Good; it was around 98 percent charged, which led me to believe it is a fairly fresh and new unit.Easy enough setup using NUT in Home Assistant & Ubuntu Desktop. (With some Ai help). USB cable included for from the PC to UPS.Heavy thing. đ Not much else to say, tested a gracefull shutdown with scripts for home assistant OS in a VMware Workstation Pro VM, shutdown VMware and then the PC, it works via NUT and Ubuntu scripts.Home Assistant integration popped in on its own, add it and adjust IP LISTEN.Unplugged power, PC and monitor stayed on. Hefty power so far, 6% load approximately using a 24 inch monitor and HP Z1 G5 Tower Worksation. With just PC on showing 2% load.Annoying beeper. Double click power button to shut it up, looking for a permanent solution if that's not it.

450VA/260W is not recommended for high end work stations and gaming rigs.
450VA/260W : Seems to be very nicely made and functions as intended. Not recommended for gaming machines or High end workstations. I plugged my HPZ800 Work Station with a GTX 1070 Nvidia card into the 450VA/260W battery backup and it did not like it one bit. Endlessly beeping as the work station was drawing to many amps. If you are running a standard office computer, not going to be an issue.Update:I bought the 850VA/510W and it works like a charm. Even Linux likes it! If you have a High power work station or gaming rig you won't be disappointed.

It lasted for only one year or maybe it was only the ECO function..
My EC650LCD worked fine for one year and then something went wrong because the ECO light was blinking all the time and there was not power coming out from the ECO controlled outlets. I contacted CyberPower and described the situation and they sent me a replacement UPS unit with no questions asked. After I received the replacement UPS unit, I plugged it not the wall and let it charge for 8+ hours. Then I pressed the power button and the unit turned on. However the ECO light was off. Then I followed the steps to activate the ECO feature and was able to activate it but the ECO light was blinking same as on my old unit. I read the instructions more carefully, so I turned off the UPS unit and unplugged it from the wall, then I connected my computer and the monitor to the ECO controlled outlets, then I plugged the UPS unit to the wall, then I pressed the UPS unit power switch and attempted to power on my computer and monitor but neither of them responded. I read the instruction further and they indicated that if the ECO light was blinking, it meant that the UPS unit did not detect the computer. At this point I stopped and scratched my head. How could the UPS unit detect my computer if the ECO light was blinking? If the ECO light was blinking it meant that there was not power coming out from the ECO controlled outlets, so how could I turn on my computer so that the UPS unit detected it if there was no power on the ECO controlled outlets? I have to mention that I kept the UPSâ unit USB cable connected between my computer and the UPS unit so that it could âdetectâ my computer but that did not help. After going through this entire ordeal with the new UPS unit, it made me wonder if my original CyberPower unit was still good and that it stopped detecting my computer because at some point in time, I powered my computer off. So I connected the old unit to the wall, powered it on and ran it through âPower Panel Personalâ and the old unit came out excellent. So I repeated the same steps with the old unit, and I had the same results than with the new one. The old unit was good but it could not detect my computer because it was off because the ECO light was blinking and therefore there was no power on the ECO controlled outlets. Is this issue an EC650LCD design flaw? Am I following the steps wrongly? As a bonus, I tried something not so elegant to get ECO control system to work. I connected my monitor and computer to the UPS unit surge protector outlets, I powered on my computer on and when it was just beginning to boot, the UPS ECO light switched from blinking to steady, I quickly unplugged the computer form the surge protector outlet and swapped it to one of the ECO controlled outlets and was able to get my computer and my monitor running under ECO controlled mode. As you may understand, I do not recommend the CyberPower EC650LCD UPS unit. Iâll keep both UPS units as surge protectors. As for the Lead Acid Batteries, they might still be useful for something else since they are fully charged and are expensive.
