External microphone splitter for MacBook Pro
This is exactly what you need to record from an external microphone into the headphone/mic jack of a MacBook Pro. It does appear you need to also connect headphones/external speakers but that’s not a problem. Good build quality and great value.

Didn’t work on a MacBook Pro
This didn’t work on a MacBook Pro to get mic Audio into the laptop. Nothing wrong with this product per se it just didn’t work for me.
