I love a kitchen gadget and couldn't resist this little beauty.It makes the most delicious pies with all round crispness. Easy instructions, there is a cutty out thing for the base and the top so you can't go wrong with sizes.I put the pastry in the cold machine and turned it on for 25 minutes, and they are perfect. I then did a quiche, again put it in cold and I also put the filling in, didn't bother par cooking the pastry as it would be overcooked. Perfect.Not just for pies though, I then did a quick frylight spray and plopped the egg in with a teaspoon of water, boom! perfect egg.I follow a keto diet and I have made almond pastry quiche and again, perfect!Love this little gadget! Saves heating a whole oven for a small amount so saves money too.There isn't a recipe leaflet included, but really you don't need one. Make or buy your favourite pastry, fill it and cook it. Pie maker works well but lacks decent instructions. After googling why the pies were not browned on top, it is solved by slightly over filling the pie before placing the lid on, not 3/4 filling as per instructions. I find 200g of filling is ideal. Also find it’s impossible to place pastry in pre heated appliance, so do everything cold, heat for a couple of minutes before closing top and cooking for 14 minutes.

I bought pre made pasty. Short for the bottom and puff for the top. I used readymade pie filling from M&S. the pies come out crispy and golden on the top, no soggy bottom, evenly cooked throughout. A tip is to shape the pastry on an upside down glass first, then put into our maker. This will also lessen your chances of burning yourself. Helps to evenly distribute the pastry, no creases, perfect! East to clean after, just wipe with soft soapy sponge once cooled. (The base and lid cutter is also supplied)

So easy to use why buy pies when you can make two in minutes , use just roll pastry, there is a cutter comes with the pie maker, cuts a lid and the base, fill with a can of beef or chicken one can will do two pies, seal tops with water on a pastry brush push down lid, 15 minutes you have pies,

This is a superb piece of kit. Keep it maintained and it will feed you very well indeed.

So easy to use. Comes with a template to perfectly cut your pastry to fit the base and top of your pie. I use shortcrust for the base and puff pastry for the top (both shop-bought ready-rolled from the chill-counter at the supermarket). Just make your filling (we've done spiced apple, lamb & mint, chicken & leek etc). Oil the hotplates lightly, cut your pastry with the template and switch on. Heats up in about 3 minutes. Then press your pastry base into the lower tray; add your filling and place the pastry lid on top. No need for sealing or crimping - as the machine takes care of that for you when you lower the lid and lock in place. Set a timer for 10 minutes and voila ! perfectly sealed and baked pies every single time. Totally foolproof and reliable results time after time. An excellent product that wipes clean after use (best to clean while still warm). 100% recommend !!
