Good looking brush. Nice and soft. Should last a long time.

Makes plenty of lather. Seems as it should, much softer than the bristle brush it replaced.

Bought this for my hubby to use with shaving soap. He had a cheap synthetic brush and want able to get the lather he needed and the old brush was scratchy. This brush is soft and works up a great lather. Looks attractive too!

First ordered a more expensive real bristle brush. Thing smelled and couldn’t hold any soap foam. This brush is superior quality and looks amazing.

This brush firstly has really nice bristles that are soft enough for comfort but stiff enough to work up a good lather from the soap for shaving. Some bristle loss over time is to be expected, but I will say this brush does NOT overly lose bristles... maybe three or four each use which seems minimal compared to other brushes I have used. On a design note, I will add I think the wooden handle looks nice, but that is of course a matter of taste. I think highly enough of this brush that I actually acquired a second brush so I can have one in my travel toiletries and another one at home in the medicine cabinet. It is my shaving brush of choice and I use one of them essentially everytime I shave.

I am replacing my boar bristle brush because I heard great thing about synthetics and im glad I made the switchPROS:* Much softer than boar bristle* Beautiful handle and design* Lathers up my shaving cream very fast and very nicely* Inexpensive* Very lightweight, I am using it as a travel brush now* Does not soak up the smells and oils like the natural brushes do. It feels way cleaner than other brushes since it is synthetic and it won't naturally absorb facial oils or residue from the shaving cream etc.CONS:* As result of it being so soft, I feel like it does not "massage" well into your face in the same way a stiffer bristle would.CONCLUSION: I really think that for the price, this was a great purchase, so much that I have zero intentions on going back to the old school boar bristle brushes. I'm very content with this one.

The poor reviews seem to focus on the wet dog odor of the brush. I found the "odor" to be no worse than my $115 Muhle Classic Badger brush. The bristles are from an animal. There will ALWAYS be a little odor. Trust me, it goes away if you immediately wash it with a mild dish detergent. After 3 uses the brush had no odor. Yes, this can't compete with a more expensive brush. There is a bit more shedding. But for the price it's a very good brush. It lathers well and has the right amount of "scritchiness" to work the lather into your face. The handle, while smooth, is very grippable when wet. It's small and makes a perfect travel brush. All in all I have no complaints.
