As a mostly recovered insomniac, I've tried melatonin supplements once in the past and had dreams so weird I decided never again. Since then, a few people have told me that most melatonin supplements are way too potent, so I got this Natrol brand 1mg kind to try. The first night I felt a little weird but not enough for it to be at all traumatizing like my previous experience. During subsequent nights I've felt completely fine; better, in fact. Bonus points for the chewable tablets that taste a bit chalky but otherwise are really good.My sleep schedule is really whacky, getting up at 6am for work some days and 10 or 11am on my days off to catch up on my sleep debt. It's a bad system but it works well enough, the biggest problem is having to go to bed at 10pm after sleeping in until 10am that morning. That's where this melatonin supplement comes in. When I need to get to sleep the night after sleeping in, I take it about 30 minutes to an hour before and I can get to sleep much more quickly without all the tossing and turning and racing thoughts. It took a couple days but now I stay asleep too all through the night (the first couple nights I fell asleep right away but woke up about 3 hours later).I'll definitely keep taking this supplement, and hopefully someday fix the disaster that is my sleep schedule lol.

This is the best sleep aid I’ve found. I’ve discovered (through trial and error) that taking a smaller amount of melatonin is what I need to help me sleep. Taking a lesser amount keeps me from having morning grogginess. The tablets taste good and dissolve quickly.

I have a high stress job and perimenopause. This is the first melatonin that has actually worked for me. Some nights it’s hard to shut off work. This relaxes me and works in about 30min. I have been sleeping great and feel refreshed when I wake up. I highly recommend this product.

I don't have trouble getting asleep, but I do have trouble staying asleep. I keep these on my nightstand. On nights when I'm having trouble getting back to sleep, I can just reach over without waking my spouse and pop one of these in my mouth and usually grab two to three more hours or snooze time.

I’ve found with melatonin that less strength is more, and that’s definitely true with this 1mg one - it’s closer to a naturally occurring amount your brain would give you if it were being cool and not annoying.The dissolving tab had shown itself to be superior to any of the gummy versions, and tastes delicious.The sleepiness comes sooner and more obviously, I’ve found the sleep more satisfying and restful. And the dreams are more vivid and interesting than normal, but not too intense.As far as low strength melatonin goes, this one definitely supplies more bang for your buck!

My sleep schedule gets messed up easily. These help so much with that. They taste pretty nice too for what they are. Kinda just taste like candy. I love that they're chewable. They're a solid choice if you need something to help you on restless nights. And fun fact, studies show your body only produces around 0.3 milligrams of melatonin to fall asleep. So really, this should be enough to nudge your body in the right direction. Anyway, I'm happy with them. They're small, but helpful. Plus they're pretty affordable since they're only a few dollars. No complaints from me. I'd recommend them.

It's amazing how well this works and how quickly it works. For me, I can break a tablet in quarters, and then pinch the smallest bit off the quarter (between 0.05 and 0.1 mg), and that's all I need if I happen to be struggling to fall asleep. For my son, it takes a bit more, but we never have to use more than 1 mg.This stuff is great, but only use the amount you absolutely need to avoid weird side effects. I've never had any, but I've always stayed low in dose. I don't rely on it anymore, but it came in handy when I did, and it works great for my son who has always struggled to wind down at night.It would be nice if the ingredients were a bit cleaner, but it's better than a lot of stuff out there.
