Durable, Accurate, Long-lasting L Framing Square!
This Vinca 8 in. x 12 in. Steel Framing Square is one tough square. The square is steel which has some weight to stay in place and not shift. The markings are stamped and protected with an epoxy finish to protect from rust. The coating leaves a shiny smooth covering which reflects light and blackening the marks would have helped visibility. I use it mostly as a guide for setting cuts so the stamped markings are not as important for me, but the numbers are large and can be read just fine in good lighting. What I need in a square is true alignment and in this regard, my Vinca square is solidly accurate. Its a good standard framing square at a great price.

Great product for a fair price.
Well machined, light for size, accurate markings, and the dimples for cross markings are such a good feature! Why doesn’t the smaller one have it? I used this to frame my deck and I gotta say it was such a time saver.

Dead square and more than enough accurate for wood
Ecamped a small piece of straight cut ply to a piece of cardboard, drew my line, flipped the square and drew another. Both the 8x12 and the 16x24 were dead square. The 8x12 square was completely equal in scale to my fast cap tape measure at 12 in and approximately 1/64th or less off at 12 in on the 16x24 in square (essentially the width of the marking line which is way under my own tolerance for woodwork). At the price of these I really don't think that you could beat them. I plan to add hardwood on the short ends of these with a fold-out piece of stock aluminum to make a overbuilt layout tool and thank these will do fantastic for that use. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone else.Pros: accurate, squareCons: I could see the markings wearing away over time but time will tell

Bargain Priced QUALITY Stainless Framing Square
Very well priced so I had my doubts but this is a great item priced low. I have been using it in the heat in Texas, getting rained on and left out. It has held up well and very much worth much more than I paid. It is thick and sturdy like you want. The numbers and marks are inset to it - well made like old fashioned ones costing much more.

Useful, Sturdy, and Fairly Accurate
It's accurate enough for my purpose. When compared with a known good square, it showed no gaps. When checked with an electronic square, it shows 89.95-90.00 Deg. When I laid it down on a granite counter, it wasn't flat. I put it in a vise to straighten it, and it was surprisingly tough to un-bend by hand. The metal has a little spring in it, which is a good thing. . The edges are rough. It left a bit of a wavy pencil line. So, I lapped it on medium grit sandpaper, just enough to remove the sharp edges. The anti-rust coating is a bit thick, but OK if you remove it from the edges if the tougue and blade. 1/2 star off for the slight bend and slightly rough edges, both fixable. Recommended!

A must for any home diy person
I think this is a great product and a must for anyone doing woodworking or any other home project that requires 90° corners or straight lines without having to use a table saw. The added length makes it really easy to use your circular saw to make accurate straight cuts of about 30-36"... granted you have to make sure the piece you're working on is square on top and bottom but if you get to about 15-18" then you can flip it the other way for the additional 15-18".
