Quick And Easy Setup!
It was really quick and easy to setup and works as a really good replacement for the Virgin Media hub that we have. Only thing that I found a bit problematic was the Android app, seemed to be slightly buggy at first but is now working a lot better!

SET UP NOT EASY
I was repac8ng an older linksys router. First time round it seemed to go well. Next day it would not connect to app. 3 resets later the system decided to do a firmware update. After that it went OK.The app is glitch. The direct link to PC did not work at all. As others have said the app is not great, which is a shame. When the router and mesh work it is a brilliant system. Let down by an awful app. Better if they would improve Web connection.

Seamless integration into Velop with Gigaclear!
I'm with gigaclear for my fibre broadband, which comes supplied with 2 Velop nodes. Velop is great and extremely easy to use, but it only supports Wifi 5, which is AC, and not Wifi 6, which is AX. They're also tiny with only 1 spare ethernet port in the router, so a network switch is a necessity. This Hydra 6 integrated seamlessly into my network. I replaced the main parent router with this beast, and added the 2 Velops as child nodes and placed them in various areas within my house to get super wide coverage! It's all super simple using the Linskys app as it guides you and tells you exactly what to do - You can't go wrong! This new router acting as the parent node has massively improved my network! I don't even need the nodes to be quite honest, the range on this thing completely covers my entire house, unlike the Velop before it. It's nice to have the nodes though, and it gives me peace of mind in terms of coverage as well as potentially greater speeds in the furthest areas. The AX3000 capabilities really shine through with my devices that support AX Wifi, e.g. my phone, and I get blazing fast Wifi far away from my router when I didn't used to!It's nice that there are 4 ethernet ports on this, as I can now connect devices directly to the router when I needed a switch before. I can also connect an external hard drive to the router and access it from all of my devices, making it perfect for a shared drive and super easy to transfer files from one device to another!Overall, I think this is a brilliant upgrade to my standard gigaclear Velop setup, and would highly recommend it for anyone else looking to upgrade their Linskys mesh system with a better parent router. Great stuff!

Easy setup but Settings are far too restrictive. App required before you can do anything!
Linksys Hydra 6 Dual Band Mesh WiFi 6 Router (AX3000) - Wireless Gaming Router with up to 3.0 ……….This is a nicely packaged router (no modem) that comes with a power supply with UK and Euro adapters, a short LAN cable, instruction manual and a documentation CD.Firstly, the manual, not worth the print. It is 14 pages of every language you can think of and consists of about 3 lines of text for each and a small table telling you what the front LED means. There are 2 icons depicting the Apple App store and the Google Play store but not even a link or QR code, you must search for the App.There are no other instructions other than what could be on the CD, but I have no way of accessing the CD to find out, and a search online at Linksys website, does not list this model, only the Hydra 6 Pro, so I can assume this is an old, superseded model. After finding and downloading the App to my Android phone, I followed the instructions to set up the router, this was easy but time consuming, you can use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for the initial setup, I used Bluetooth as it seemed the easiest method. After finding the router, there is some basic setting up to do, this includes giving your Wi-Fi a name and password and that is about it. You will need to connect the router to the internet via a LAN cable to your modem (or existing broadband / fibre router). You will also be required to set up an account with Linksys so you can access further settings on the router, although these are extremely limited. Having to use an App to get access to the settings is bad enough, I now must fumble around on a small screen, what happened to built-in web site where it was easy to go through the settings? Without a mobile device and the App, the router is useless as you cannot access it from a desktop / laptop computer.Using the App to go through the router configurations I found it to be frustratingly restrictive and uninformative, simple things like choosing a Wi-Fi channel is not available, instead it will do an automatic search and choose the best channels ‘IT’ thinks is good. My existing Wi-Fi is on channels 1 and 36 yet this router decided that they were the best channels to use even though they were already in use and there was no way to manually change them. (Note that this router was set to be on a separate network and NOT meshed with my current network). The only available mode(s) is ‘Mixed’, that is it, no other options and I cannot find anywhere that I can set the IP address range! There are some useful things, encryption has a few options, (open, WPA2, WPA3, Personal and Enhanced), there are good parental controls that can restrict access by connected device, and you can also prioritise access by device. Conclusion:If you want a no fuss, almost zero setup installation then this router maybe for you, however if you want even the slightest bit more control over the setup then give this router a wide berth. I’m not impressed at all and I’m sick of seeing ‘Getting Router Settings’ for 10 to 15 seconds every time I want to change something!

Best router we have owned!
Our internet is with our TV provider, And we have had the router for donkeys years, It was slow and unreliable...This Linksys one has made a world of difference! The speed is so much better now, and we actually get Wi-Fi in our back bedroom, Which we couldn't before. We have a lot of devices and smart home products, All connected perfectly and work so much better than before. Extremely happy with this router and would 100% recommend to others.
