quality,ease of setup and price
Bought this to cover small office in the garden, It is well made and well packaged .Was so easy to set up using the omada app, which you can scan off the leaflet. It took me 15mins to set up and working from the box.If you want an easy set up and good overall coverage at this price its a must buy.

Slick And Easy
Bought this as part of an upgrade to my house WiFi because it's wired and frankly better than a mesh type system which does it's job but can't compete with a more pro-setup such as this which, is designed for offices, hotels and workplaces.Firstly to backtrack. I renovated my house back to bare walls a few years ago and as part of that I ran in Cat6 everywhere. As an engineer I still liked the idea of being able to use wiring for data because bottom line it's faster. At the time I had the usual WiFi router for through the air stuff and in each room the ability to use Cat6.However thanks to my foresight of using foil backed plasterboard to help with energy I also when I finished realised that I'd basically created a bit of a Faraday cage and thus my WiFi was never fantastic. So, when better systems rocked up I used them and currently have five BT mesh units scattered around which, work but the range is a bit low.And then this system came to my attention via my son who was asked to install an AP system during a house rewiring he was doing. Bit of research and I have finally found the perfect system for me. A wired AP network that means I don't have to rely on passthrough or mesh for WiFi around my house and garden. Oh yes, garden as well because TP Link make outside AP's which I've also bought. I have a bunch of hedgehogs around and I've got WiFi cameras to catch them bumbling around at night which my wife and I really like to see.So here we are. A ceiling mounted unit which is neat, works superbly well and is POE - kind of.First off the TP Link system makes a big thing of POE which this is but not quite like the fully POE units that cost a bit more. I bought in total a controller, POE network switch and four AP's thinking that they would all just run off the POE switch which, they don't. Two of the AP's do - the more expensive ones - but this one has a powered adaptor.Basically, you run a LAN cable to the POE adaptor which is plugged in and then run the Cat5 or 6 to this WiFi AP. Not the end of the world but I do need a couple more which, I will spend more on so I can forget the powered adaptor that this uses.Once connected and powered up, using the Omada app and/or the control module you log in and look for the unit. Once found - which is automatic - give it a name and it's on your system which you will have already set up with SSID and password of your choice. The unit itself is well made and mounts primarily on a ceiling but could go on a wall as well. The Cat 5 or 6 cable entry is at the back and designed so that you don't see the cable which, will presumably have been fed through a hole predrilled. This is the one downside to this system for many. You need to run cat5 or 6 to where it's located and whilst in my opinion a far better way of setting up a full house WiFi does mean some work. I was lucky in that entirely by chance I'd decided years ago to run in loads of the stuff before plastering and painting means for me it's not a big job. However if you do need to run in cable then if you can't do it yourself then that will cost you.And cost. In reality this system excluding cable and fitting is cheaper than the BT mesh system. And way, way better. If you really do want great WiFi everywhere and the means to easily control access in in idiot proof way then this is the way forward. Yes, you need to run cable but the end result is a far better system.

Perfect
The media could not be loaded. I got this for home use (can be used in any office small and large.First off it arrived in the branded box shown i have used TP link products in the past and i have found these better working the Sky Router than other brands. TPLink AP is a very cost effective option and simple to install with basic DIY and network knowledge. So right out box your meet with the access point which is light weight yet strangely stronger than you think. In the box you get the1 Access Point1 PoE Power adapter1 mounting bracketInstructionsNo cables provided so you will need to order two cat 6 or above Ethernet cables one from router to PoE and one from PoE to the Access pointFitting was really simple and it honestly tuck me all of 20 mins once i knew where i was fitting. Once fitted i go to running cables around and through trunking to where my access point was. (I would recommend trying it before you mount it to ensure its working)You have two options for accessing the Access Point, first is the App available on apple and google stores or the second through your web browser both solutions are easy even for someone with little IT experience (however if you struggle there is loads of advice on YouTube or google) instructions provided are pretty good also.Once up and running and you have accessed you access point you can clone your main channel or you can do what i have done i have set up several access points for the family and guests as sadly with sky routers you can’t have a guest channel so everyone is connected. The best thing about setting up access for my kids is that i can very quickly disable their access to the internet at certain times (for example bed times etc) i have also set up channel for smart home cctv/ bulbs etc. when setting up access i would strongly recommend you have 2.4Gz and 5Gz running together this easier and allows older devices and new devices to run on same access point without issue. Now the wifi coverage has massively increased i can now get access at bottom of garden also when i pull up where i park car my phone connects straight to the house wifi.At £61.98 at time of review its most definitely worth the price. I have recommended this to my sister who has same issues with wifi in her house and im fitting it next weekHighly recommend

good solid access point, but with a small niggly problem
I brought one on behalf of a customer,Pros:Very very easy to setup and manage multiple SSID (networks) and there is the ability to configure each with advanced settings such as access levels, peer-to-peer visibility and hidden ssid. The range is much better than i expected and the included mound is really solid and slimline to reduce unsightlyness. asthetically its a really nice looking AP and with the ability to host multiple of these for free using cloud hosted controller is a bit plus!Cons:i installed this for him and plugged it into a tp-link 5-port poe switch, and nothing happened!! i had to use the provided poe injector inorder to get this to work, i can only assume that this access point only accepts poe on certain wires and that is different from the pow switch by the same brand? in theory it should be able to adapt between wiring methods for 568a/b but clearly not. it is a shame as i had to use an additional power socket.I would buy more of these but i would likely need to have 568a on one end and 568b on the other of the patch cables inorder for it to work properly without using poe-injectors.
