Fantastic. It teaches all.
I bought this as a last resort to a problem which has been pestering and bothering me since taking ownership of initially one, and then acquiring a second, yellow belly slider around a year after the first. There has been an ongoing issue when it comes to cleaning the huge tank which houses the pair. It's always a bit of a hit and miss situation, in as much as it's cleaning process may or may not prove successful. This past week I've hit upon two failures. The first clean out left behind (after a struggled few hours of painful cleaning) murky waters.. That was the initial thing. It came as no surprise simply because I miss with this quite regularly. It was late and I needed to sleep. I was shattered. Dawn brought with it an added trouble wrenching from the tank. It was bad. I had no alternative other than clean the tank again. This time though, I set about a huge scrubbing of everything. From filter pipes, to disinfecting the filter itself, as well as emptying and repeating the process within the tank, removing rocks and scrubbing basking platforms. I eventually filled the tank with spotlessly clean water, hit the lights and pumps and breathed a sigh of relief. I went about my daily business and ventured out. When I returned , the familiar stench from the turtle tank was catching my breath. The murky water clouded the whole tank. I couldn't even see either turtle. I needed help. I browsed Amazon's pages and saw the product. Turtle and Terrapin Water Freshener. How the hell was this going to do the trick of tank reviving? I bought it, after reading mixed reviews. It was the best that was available. Waiting for it to arrive brought wretching from my stomach. The smell wasn't clever. The murk was still well established, even though I had been emptying and replacing buckets of water intermittently. Then the Amazon man arrived. It was late... Granted. I can't perform that many miracles. The Amazon deliveries are always late. I opened the package and scanned the label. Did a few mathematics in my head and proceeded to pour the corrext amount into the tank, using the flowing water areas to distribute the stuff. I took a bath (long bath) and eventually came back to the tank to take a look. The photographs speak for themselves. These are just now taken. Anybody can see nothing but a clear, clean (and you'll have to take my word for it that the smell too has gone) tank. For whatever reasons this stuff is a miracle thing that I'll never stop using. Of course I needed to find out exactly what the ingredient was which made this special.Contains: MICROORGANISMS the label states. And therin lies the answer to my problems of not knowing what results may come ofcleaning my tank. When carrying out this process, I have been eradicating a the vital microorganisms which are vital in sustaining/ maintaining keep the balance of the water, such that these little things will rip away at any bacteria creating the steblnching amonia and germs wreaking havoc to create swarming clouds WHEN THERE ARE NO MICRO ORGANISMS. In a nutshell I was cleaning away the Pro active bacteria and alllowing the pee and poo of my two turtles to spread that vile infected sight and unbearable smell. The lesson learnt certainly by myself (and it has indeed taken a long three years of only now realising) is to always recycle the water within the tank during cleaning times. The micro organisms are needed and without these the tank will go off immediately. And all this self teaching nowsinking in, because this product worked and has helped me to understand p the way to maintain a successfully clear and stench free environment for my turtles. I shall not forget this. And believe me, with an abundance of naturally occurring micro organisms developing inside the tank, I'll continue to use this product..... regularly.....to be on the safest side. Thank you a million times.

My turtles have never smelt fresher...!
I have two musk turtles, contained within a 60 litre tank. I found that within just days of purchasing the turtles that the water started to smell so bad that I could smell it throughout my home even when the lid of the turtles hadn't been opened. After searching on Amazon I found this product and promptly snapped it up.To use this liquid there is a small pipette provided in the box and I just added 1ml of liquid for every 9 litres of water within my tank. This was simple to follow and it was very straight forward to just add this directly to the tank.Within one day of adding this and increasing the flow of my filter slightly I found that the offensive smell that was making me physically gag had disappeared and while the water isn't as fresh as drinking water or other water would be it is definitely improved at least 80% for me and my home no longer smells disgusting! The instructions were simple to follow and I have been adding this to my turtle tank just twice a week. Because this is a 100ml bottle it will last me several months - a bargain really! I have nothing bad to say about this product, it works, as simple as that! My tank smells so much better and I no longer feel physically sick when it comes to feeding my turtles or caring for them.

I mean, I did order two of these by mistake, I’m thinking it was a good idea that this had happened, my smelly terrapin is now gone, smelling all fresh and dapper just like a terrapin should smell…I’m basically saying this product works like it should… and I’m happy about that
