Great quality brake pipe tool
Used cheaper sets that weren’t that great at producing quality flares but this is simple, easy to use and produces great quality flares also use if needed with out taking the pipe off the vehicle , bout sure what it’s like with steel pipes though as used on copper, great quality tool

Really good design
Bought this tool with little fair as didnt understand the patent new design- a nut with threads!. Absolutely love it. Have had numerous other draper ect brand of same tool but all have lost the threads in the tool after a few uses. This is absolutely brilliant. Would recommend to any mechanic who does a lot of break pipe making as this tool will last for ages. Much more affordable too then other popular counterparts.

Scroll past the others and buy this one...
I never normally leave reviews for products I have bought. But, if you need a flairing tool, spend the extra and buy this. Don't waste your money on the old style. Worth every penny!Perfect flairs every time. I'd give it 6 out of 5 if I could...

Brilliant bit of kit
I bough this to repair a brake pipe on my 41 year old VW. Both ends of the existing pipe had rounded off union nuts so i couldn't replace it without some serious hassle.I cute pipe in half and changed the cylinder at the same time, i bought a pack of unions and joiners and added a new union to the pipe still on the van and made another short pipe up and connected it all up. Works perfect and saved me a load of hassle. A bit expensive i guess but its superb, highly recommended. Far better than the type you need to clamp in a vice.

Works with steel pipe as well as copper - but no storage case
I bought this tool to replace a cheaper one from WODHMIEY that wasn’t fit for purpose.Although this tool by CAPRI is nearly double the price of the other one, it’s definitely worth paying the extra because this worked first time with steel brake pipe! The only negative is that there is no storage box with it, so losing the various parts is a likelihood (the cheaper tool did have a moulded case).

Impressive - makes great quality flares
This is more compact than the generic flaring tools you can buy -but engineered better. It produces lovely looking flares and needs less effort than the other tools.Don't make the mistake I made and take the die apart to put the pipe in, a threaded bush falls out and the tool becomes useless - put the bush back in place, reassemble the die and put the pipe in with the locking bolts slightly undone (as they instructions tell you to, durrr) and you're good to go!

Perfect for the job!
I was in a pickle when (on a BMW E46) the rear brake hose had bonded, literally, with the brake line. So I ended up cutting the pipe, using this tool to flare the pipe again whilst it was on the car. Honestly, this tool has saved my bacon. I was expecting to have to do it on a steel pipe but they had been replaced so it was copper. Either way, it was a breeze to use and will be part of my tool collection for years.
