Works as it should.
This is great for quick welding and soldering copper. But for extended heat you'll definitely want to put more insulation of some type under it. I had it resting on a Vinyl cutting mat and it warped the mat. My Fault!

Great for soldering my jewelry
Great quality and as advertised but make sure you check the measurements. I need at least two more of them because the brick is about the size of a postcard. I need a slightly larger surface area to protect my work area while soldering jewelry. So far I haven’t scorched my desk but I have come close.
